Gapless music....I don' t think it will ever happen.
E2195,00 for this rubbish!
Shame on you B&O!!!
I must say that since I use the Moment I listen to music far more regularly (as in daily) than before; also I have discovered more music / artists / albums in the 6 months or so that I own it than the previous 5 years before.
Part of its appeal to me is its great integration with Deezer, but most definitely also the Mood wheel, Pattern Play, integrated Radio, playlists, discovery, look and feel (hard and software), the user interface, sound quality, wifi stability, and its tight integration with other B&O products.
In short for me it is well worth the money; gapless playback or not

Apparently, I say apparently, they fixed a very annoying issue I had when paying music leveraging the Moodwheel.
Before the latest upgrade, and since a very long time, pressing on a point of the Moodwheel after a long sleep, such as a night, the Moment used to either keep blinking on the very first track of the Mood list without playing it, play the first track of the Mood list for about 20 seconds or play only the very first track of the list.
Pressing on another point to escape from this situation was either producing the same results or not playing more than two or three track
Repeating the operation, i.e. pressing on another point was finally driving to a continuous flow of Music ... not something you appreciate when you wake up and want a smooth start of day :-)
Fyi, this behavior was not observed just after a library reset, and I have enough tracks in my libraries (32k NAS' tracks and hundreds of Deezer's tracks)
Since the last update, starting music leveraging the MoodWheel gives a continuous flow of music, in the right Mood without too many repeats, finally! One of the non disclosed fixes I guess.
B&On weekend!

There is a new sw update for the Moment, its now on version SW 1.6.6.1131-1.6.392.259021047
Previous update was two months ago, todays update brings some real quality and performance improvements.
I noticed an immediate improvement in the response of the player, therefore this is a welcome update to the Moment.
- Removes the problem with some NAS machines responding with the message "network overload".
- NAS lists disappearing after a software update.
- Problems solved with TuneIn: 'no account' or 'account not found'.
- Problem solved with TuneIn jumping to another channel.
- Shorter view of the volume animation in the screen.
- Problems solved with the aluminium or wooden wheel.
- Bettered performance when changing tracks.
"Believe nothing you read and only half of what you see, let your ears tell you the truth."
Thanks Chris, interesting to see that the updates notes are almost the same, simply the "Quality and performance improvements" statement that was removed from today's release notes when comparing your two posts .....
1.6.384.149383865Some release Notes:
- Quality and performance improvements.- Problem solved with the NAS message: network overload.- Disappearing NAS lists solved.- TuneIn login details solved.- Volume animation bettered.- Faster in changing tracks.- Problem solved with the wooden volume not reacting sometimes.

I installed it, will see if I notice improvements or degradation !
Hi mbolo01,
indeed thats the info I did get in my window
But after the update I noticed a very quickly cold start on my NL appliances. And it fixed the wrong artwork on my TuneIn radiostation.
I removed some time ago a radiostation to another place on the list, the artwork did not change with the removal and was still appearing off course with a now wrong station name. This looks te be fixed.
I seems to be playing faster if you change rapidly tracks, maybe a bigger buffer now?
Comment 1 = It does not solve the NAS album playing issue I reported in a separate thread, i.e. there is a very short sound cut between 11' and 20' of each track starting track 2
Think its time for some improvements rather than bug fixes.
Hiort:Search with more than one letter need to be fixed.
I have heard that it will be included in future upgrades.
For the rest ..... the JukeBox interface deserves a complete re-writing, not at all a modern and scalable interface, so the best thing we could hope is a fresher user interface that will fix all our frustrations, starting by introducing common sense functions and keep the "nice" look and feel features as the last priority such as the blurred artist image.
Hiort: Think its time for some improvements rather than bug fixes. I read somewhere that the Multiroom view we get on the Beomusic app would also appear on the Jukebox. Think its a bit silly that I have to get my phone as well if I want to manage my Multiroom experience, when I´m sitting with the Jukebox. One simple annoying thing I want to be fixed, is that there are two tiles for the same artist if I have e.g Adele on both my NAS and marked as favorite in Deezer. Search with more than one letter need to be fixed.
agreed with all of this and I am a bit disappointed not to see any of these implemented....
two additions:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree with you 100%. I thougt the same since day one. The use of many playlists means no overview any more.
A third point in my eyes would be the possibility to rearrange radio stations after bookmarking
TuneIn doesn't work for me anymore.
The moment can't find the server.
Well Mirco, then you are lucky. I updated yesterday to latest software. Moment is totally crap now. Already did 6 times a total factory reset. Everytime another problem occurs. Not possible to log in to Deezer and Tune in. After fact reset, not able to find my wireless network.
Another reset, Jukebox could not find the sound heart. Another reset, indexing my music, which normally takes 30 to 40 minutes, took the whole night and still not ready. Reset, Moment couldt not find the NAS any more.
The on the moodwheel the only ring working is the inner ring.
Till this update never an serious issue. This is really crap.
athos:I updated yesterday to latest software. Moment is totally crap now.
I suppose you received a corrupt update. Did you do the update by wireless or is the hub connected to a network cable.
If it is corrupted, there is not much you can do by yourself. Best to take the Moment to your dealer, he will restore your Moment.
A corrupt update...? Well, might be, nbeciause before this, everything was working fine.
The hub is wired connected. Only thing that might influence, is that the radio of the moment was on when updating. Normally the update takes place during the night (when set to update automatic). I was so curious, so I updated manually, when radio was palyng. That might be a wrong decision.
Well, as told, reset for about 8 times, will take it to the dealer today.
athos:I was so curious, so I updated manually, when radio was palyng. That might be a wrong decision.
Was not a wrong decision, I did the update while listening too, once the download was over the Moment did its update job and restarted. Sorry to hear that you have issues.
athos: The on the moodwheel the only ring working is the inner ring.
Hi Athos,
Sorry to hear about all these problems. I do not have you login / indexing / NAS connection problems.
However, I did experience the same problems (not working at all) with the middle and outer ring of the moodhweel. This was solved by loggin out of Deezer and logging back in (all Deezer music gets reindexed by the Moment if you do that).
Hope all other issues will be solved soon.
The latest software update to resolve bugs and create new ones, brought me ( and others) some serious problems with the MoodWheel.
The outer and inner ring is not responding anymore as it should with Deezer, pushing any of the 99 positions gives the same music track to start with.
Only the inner ring is responding as it should to my own music collection.
Contacted BeoCare, and see what they come up with to get the mood back....

seethroughyou:Every few months I am almost persuaded to go for a Moment but shortly afterwards I read what I've just read and am totally put off. I can understand why people stick with CDs and/or a laptop playing ripped music. This sounds absolutely tortuous. You come home from work and want to play music but spend the next few evenings reconfiguring your router, your Tinky Twonky, your Geezer and Spotify account and doing resets that last hours to days. What the hell. I have enough IT problems and frustrations in my day to day job but you don't want this at home. Oh dear.
Perhaps those of us who haven't yet pulled the trigger for a Moment will smile at the prospects of a new Beosound which, maybe will take a step back and have local music storage / access? Likely not, but one can hope.

Chris Hassell:I doubt it but I'd agree they could do better. I will be getting a new BeoSound in the next few months (probably a Moment) but I have to say it has a lot of limitations for a £1,700 HiFi. Remember it is essentially an Android tablet in a (very) swanky outfit with audio connections. BV11-46, Beoplay A2, H3 ANC, Beo 4, Beoplay S8, Beosound Essence MkII
Keep an eye on the updates page in your menu, there is a another software update expecting this week for the Moment.
Probably to solve the problems with the MoodWheel and Deezer?

Hear, hear!
Another SW update for the Moment today, version SW 1.7.7.1155-1.7.399.223963144
Not much of specific information:
I presume that it brought a solution to the problems with the bad responding MoodWheel to Deezer, happened after last weeks update. Will find out...
He Chris,
I knew that this was coming. Hope it will solve the problem. Next to that, I hope that it will solve some other "strange behaviour" of the Moment, after the update (ie not finding network, not finding attached tv speakers, failed login to deezer/Tunein, but at the end it has been logged in normally etc etc...)
The Problem with the mood wheel is not solved!!!!!
:-(
No problem from my side. Lucky so far .....
The only change I noticed (could have been introduced in the recent previous version) is that the BeoTool app now shows the Jukebox properties where before only the SoundHeart was reporting.
Good luck to all of you that are stuck.
No problems found so far.
I found it the slowest update ever received, it took about 20 minutes from start to finish. After the update the Jukebox failed to show me the Playlist-Artist-Radio-Discover... page.
That Moment keeps the owners real busy, and I'm asking myself the question who at B&O is checking the SW versions thoroughly before they load it to their servers for a download. The May 03 update was the third faulty SW version they provided us in year, another beauty mistake.
Sorry to read, others are having problems... I can only ask from experience, to not mention the problems only to your dealer. But email also all faults, big or small to BeoCare together with an upload of your logs. Its the only way to keep B&O working further on this product in making it better.
hmmm.
the moodwheel doesn't work for me. I asked Beocare for help but I don't get an answer so far. :-(
Anybody interested in this...
Qplay 2.0 is now also on the Moment available.
Did the update too. Unfortunatly, Moodwheel still shows colours, but middle and outer ring are not working. When I push on it, the white spot goes to that position, but nothing happens. When I do this at the iner circle, another track from my NAS plays.
I also noticed that in the Beolink app I can contact the content on my NAS, but when I choose something from the category Deezer, a rotating Arrow appears for a long time, and then I got an empty page. In the Beo music. The waitinglist shows me the music to be played. When I use the Beomusic app, Deezer etc is working fine.
I am sure I did not changed anything in my router or network. Next to that, till 2 sw versions ago, the MoodWheel was working. Fortunatly I have quite good response from my dealer, but they also do not know what is wrong. Next week wil try another router, but I am not convinced that this is the issue....

Indeed, immediate after yesterdays SW update the MoodWheel functioned perfectly in testing.
Today the same problem appears, colored circles but at any position you push a mood in the outer or middle ring, the same music track starts (Moody Blues) as before the update. Nothing bettered...
Contacted BeoCare again...
Well Chris, that is good & bad news...
Bad for you and "good" for me. Means I am not the only one. Send message to Beocare last Monday. Think they are on holiday.....
Just upgraded to the latest release.
The Moodwheel seems to work (almost).
I can press the outer ring in a random place and an artist and song is displayed in the left corner of the Jukebox screen. Sometimes the song title blinks for a long time, before it plays. Sometimes it plays instantly. Sometimes it does not play at all. Very random.
Middle ring same story. Sometimes wait. Sometimes instant play. Sometimes no play.
Inner ring. Similar story, but if I find a song I know is on my NAS it plays instantly as it should.
Evidently still a problem accessing Deezer.
One thing I notice is that if I double-tap an artisttile (for random play) where the music is on my NAS, and thereafter look at the Moodwheel, the white dot is on the outer ring. Should be in the inner ring, right?
If I instead pick a song from the same artist (rather than random play) the white dot is in the inner ring.
Does not really matter, but its odd.
Chris: Anybody interested in this... Qplay 2.0 is now also on the Moment available.
So QPLAY on the Moment and GOOGLE Cast on the A6/A9 .... what a cast day!
