jvdl:The UBD-K8500 is a good player, not much options but OK. I have it connected to the Avant 85
To load a disk it is acceptable and quite fast. Quality of the 4K is realy good.
No need to change any cables. The message is correct as the BV doesn't support HDR (high dynamic range) and likely just means you need to change the default hdmi format in one of the menus of the player so this message doesn't appear every time.

Aussie Michael:So last night I purchased the Samsung 4K Blu Ray player because there was a special on at Myer where it was $429. The Panasonic is going to be double the price and I'm not sure of the feature set is going to be doubly good. Before j purchased I went to the B&O store here to confirm if it would work, they said they have no reason why it wouldn't It did work however when you put a disc in and it loads there is a splash screen that tells you that the connected television is not a HDR television and to press ok to continue. A little bit odd. It loads very quick and playback is fast. I wonder if I change my HDMI cable if I won't get that message ?
