Dear Forum

I'm considering using a set of A9 keyrings as garage door opener remotes.

I've searched the net, but with no luck.

I'm contemplating this setup:

  1. A9
  2. LC2
  3. Some kind of relay

The A9 would trigger the LC2, which in turn would flip a relay and short circuit the terminals for the garage door opener (it does not require any additional voltage input)

My worry is, that I need to have 230v powering the LC2, the output current of the LC2 is also 230V - so a bad mix of voltage not to be fed to the opener.

What relay/device would I need?

Any input is highly welcome.

As cool as it seems, anyone with a B&O remote can open your garage door.

"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"

Funny  idea!

Remimds me of this:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_CQA3X-qNgA

But about the trigger. You need a "trigger". When you switch on a light with the LC2, it stays on. So , any form of electronics behind the LC2 is needed.

And it only opens the door. WHat about closing? What distance can the A9-LC2 handle?
