@razlaw:
Very sorry to hear about your wife, can fully understand how you feel about the Aston model. My wife is still with me, and I still have the first present she ever gave me, a framed picture, hanging on the wall and always will. First presents are filled with memories and emotion.
As for the 3000, it's such a stunning looking piece still, and so iconic, that it'd be a shame not to have it on display, especially since it's wired into the setup and functional. Perhaps the wall near the 5, or on the cabinet with the car in front of or beside it?
You have a wonderful setup or rather setups. Very tastefully done and highlights the beauty of B&O.

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus.

If you try on the cabinet then it it does not work it's easier to move than fixing to the wall.

Man, tough call...both look good. Using the stand does put both sources near each other, the BS5 and the 3000 and the wall mounted remote. So, I'd probably go for the stand. And let's you put the car back in pride of place.
Sorry, to hear about your wife, Razlaw! Why don't try best of both worlds?: 1.) Put the 3000 on the cabinet, as far to the wall as possible and the little gift in front of it?2.) Put the 3000 on the cabinet and install a minimalistic super small shelf on the wall to just hold the car. I would place it on the wall above the TV.
3.) 3000 on the cabinet and the car mounted with small invisible ankles on the wall. You can use small enough ankles that can be nearly invisble behind the car: https://www.cwmeyer.de/tradepro/shop/artikel/gross/HE180-010421.jpg
On the cabinet is the obvious place for me.
If under the BS5, the doors of the 3000 will open each time you're going to use the BS5... not very pleasant.
Beautiful colour and setup anyway
Looks much miore 'integrated' with the tv standing on the cabinet.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
Thank you all for all of the comments and suggestions. I think I will place it on the cabinet. That is where it was originally, in our former home as when we purchased the 3000 we did not initially buy the stand for it.
I had the 3000 on the stand for years, but the Beosound 5 was on top of the cabinet. The Beosound 5 was too low to use comfortably while on the cabinet which is why I moved it to the wall. It also allowed for the cables to be hidden in the wall and the Beomaster 5 to be hidden in my basement. I had the 3000 on the stand under the 5 briefly. I disconnected it as it did not function well with the Beosound 5 being the audio master and I wanted access to Spotify. However now with the Essence I do not need to have Spotify on the Beosound 5 so I can once again have the 3000 as the audio master.
Placing it on the cabinet simplifies cable management as the surge protector and masterliness junction box are in the cabinet and the hole in the wall for the cable to the Essence is just behind the TV. With the 3000 on the stand, I need to run a Masterlink cable from the 3000, around the corner behind the BL1 and over to the cabinet, as well as running the cable to the Essence around the corner and into the wall. Also, the power cord either has to be plugged in to outlet behind 3000, under the 5 and be very visible, or again run all the way to the cabinet.
I had not thought about it before, but now that it has been mentioned, I have to agree that all of the circular bases are a bit much if I leave the 3000 on the stand.
I have two concerns about the 3000 on the cabinet. If they really bother me I can always move it back to the stand. First one is that as I use the stairs behind it I may see the cables and back of the 3000. Also, I have always liked the way the relative heights of the cabinet and the BV10 approximate the height change/angle of the staircase behind them. the 3000 will alter that effect.
I do still have the back cover. Although two tabs have broken off and it does not stay in place well.

What is powering the Pentas ?

HAHA... is that why there's a screwdriver on the table? I trust some screws rattled loose while on max vol.
Hello leogonewildWe have the same set up, so I borrowed your image. The setup plays just max - great sound.Greetings and thank you - Peter

Razlaw:Thanks for both opinions! I am tending to agree with you....the stand.
Aussie Michael:I vote off the stand and on the unit
@Razlaw
You have some unique pieces in an unusual strong color!
Every single piece stand proud alone, and I think you should open up your placement.
I would move the stand elsewhere, and let the TV and speakers be one entity, let it present itself!
The Stand and the BS can easily carry its own weight elsewhere..
Just my two cent,- since I absolutely love the color!

Again, thanks for all of the kind comments, compliments, and opinions. Unfortunately I have not been able to find a more suitable place for the Beosound 3000 than the places we have been discussing.
But, again, as everyone here has such good taste, I have an off the wall question on how another option might look. My friend that was going to buy my Beolab 9s decided not to as he thinks the treble is too bright for his taste. So now I am trying to decide where I might be able to place my Beolab 9s.
One option is in my bedroom to replace the Beolab 4000s I have there. But due to sound quality, I have been trying to decide if I want to place the 9s where my Beolab 1s are right now. It would destroy the perfect color symmetry that exists now, with the burgundy BV10, cabinet, BL1s and BL6000s as rears. I have three sets of covers for the 9s so the three options I see right now if I place the 9s where the 1s are, would be as follows:
1. 9s with black covers, no other change to the setup (maybe get a black fret for the BV10)
2. 9s with white covers, no other change to the setup (maybe get a white fret for the BV10)
3. Or the most outrageous option, blue covers on the 9s, new blue fret on the BV10, and replace the rear Beolab 6000s with 4000s that are also blue.
With the third option everything would be blue except the cabinet. So I would remove it from the setup. Mount the satellite receiver and and surge protector on the back of the BV10 with brackets from STB, or find a way to hide them in the basement, and place the BS3000 on it's stand where the cabinet is, between a Beolab 9 and the BV10.
I completely agree with the comment made here about too many circular bases with the 1s, the 10, and the 3000. I completely agree with it now that it has been mentioned and agin my thanks for pointing that out to me. But with the 9s I would lose two of those circular bases.
Thanks in advance for any opinions, comments, or suggestions. I will post a picture of how the blue would look in the room.
Just tried to post a thank you for comments, and a couple questions. Nothing offensive other than perhaps too many thank you, too many questions, and too many B and O products listed...LOL Received the following response:
