What an iconic product Stones ! B&O at its best.

Yes! Ever since a BS9000 replaced my Overture some years ago I have been missing the easy operation of my good old friend. Therefore I was happy to find a new every day use for itSmile

By the way: Here is the BS9000 with the BL6000. Seen from the same position as the Overture only turned 90 degrees left.

Karel, what a fantastic design living room with a great setup.

I like your style, especially the Barcelona chair with ottoman.

Very tasteful.

Enjoy your vinyl, and dont't bother about the BV-bugs. It will certainly be updated to a stable version.

Wish you, and other readers/members a very good and healthy 2017!

Beoberg:

Thanks guys!

Regarding setting up the S8 as a sorround system. Instead of one RJ45 cable there are two from the S8 sub to the television. One transmits the subwoofer signal (I choose the BeoLab 14 sub in the menu as it is identical) and for the other I choose BeoLab 14 satellites. Easy as pie. 5.1 sound stage is phenomenal. Great power from the S8 sub without taking the punch from the Lab 9's and the two S8 satellites have crystal clear audio for rears. Plus what an upgrade from 40" to 55" when watching movies. I am very pleased!

BeoVision 11-55 MKI (primary), BeoLab 9 (front), BeoPlay S8 (sub+rears), BeoSound 5/BeoMaster 5, ML/NL converter, BeoVision 6-26 MKIV (bedroom), BeoVision Avant 32 DVD (retro gaming), BeoLab 3500 (living room) BeoLab 4000 (entertainment room), 2x BeoPlay S3 (PC), BeoLit 12 (kitchen), BeoPlay A1 (everywhere), BeoPlay H2/H3 (on the go)

That's excellent Beoberg.

Do you know if you can use the S8 with a Receiver 1?

That should be done.

I have my Beolit 12 in the laundry room connected to a Receiver 1. The Transmitter (with Essence) is placed in the kitchen, next to the laundry room.

Remember, only one channel per Receiver 1 will be distributed. But for my needs, it will do the job.

Mostly I use my iPhone for the Beomusic app.

Yes but I was asking particularly as I was wondering if the Avant could use the S8 (as the Avant has the built in transmitter) if I could use a receiver 1 with the S8 as rears so I don't have to run a cable to the TV

Hi there, Aussie Michael,

I dunno regarding the receiver. It works perfectly with the BV11 and the Avant should have the same options for programming the individual sound signal from the powerlink outputs.

Best regards,

Frederik

BeoVision Eclipse 55, BeoPlay S8 (sub+rears), BeoPlay A9 MKII (living room), BeoVision Avant 32 DVD (retro gaming, basement), BeoLab 4000 (entertainment room, basement), BeoSound 8 (workshop), 2x BeoPlay S3 (PC), BeoPlay A1, BeoPlay H2/H3 (on the go)

A photo from my messy kitchen.

A Danish TV showing a Norwegian TV show in a Swedish kitchen. Some Finnish chairs can also be seen.

...and yes, I'll take care of the cabling any day now ;)

The living room of our old apartment. My old Beolab 1, a white Sony Mediacenter PC where nearly every menu item has a corresponding B&O wallpaper. Controlled with a Beo 5. A selfmade (my dad and I) active subwoofer in reflective white color to limit its optical size a little bit. The subwoofer becomes visible if you click on the picture. Beolab 7.2 beneath a LG OLED TV.

Menu items of the Mediacenter:

and to prove my love to the brand despite it's current way in design and quality: Nearly all of my B&O items are laser engraved with my logo and my name. The name was removed on the pictures (on the Beo 5 it's engraved corresponding with the circle aluminium housing and so small that it doesn't disturb the asthetics of the device)

Except the Beo 4, all engravings are very subtle on the natural aluminium. But if somebody steals my Beo 5 he should explain on ebay why my name is on the remote and not his ;)

Hi Beoworlders, new beovirus victim here ;-)

Anyway, on the table tonight is my bm 900s. The 900k is for the kitchen, had a bit of noise on 1 channel, so I'm testing if one of my spares is better. I just picked up the naked one and the bg 1000 from service today after waiting for 2 months.

Very excited to get them back in the RG Compact case :-) The best looking stand-alone system ever made? It is in my opinion. Fitted with an Essence mk2 for streaming and future multiroom integration.

Meanwhile the 6500 system is supplying the soundtrack .

This is looking great. Looks like Kodi? I'd also planned to add wallpapers, but couldn't find overly nice ones. We should have a thread on this with all of us posting links. Particularly love to see some of the more recent items. What do you think?
