Maybe already addressed in this threat but can the BLC be part of an multiroom session? I cannot include my BS3000 (per BLC) in a multiroom play session from my Moment.

If not, will it be included in short time?

Thanks.

I get the message "Action not supported by the selected product" whenever I try to play Deezer, TuneIn, or DLNA on my BLC.

I experience this also.

One question. When my client tried to play using deezer in his favorite tracks. And try to skip the music, but it doesnt skip. It seems that the next button is only for the tracks in the play queue. Another question is that when you make products in multiroom, does the volume automatically is synchronized when you adjust the volume of the master then the slave will do the same also?

The last update introduced a problem when moving between access points.  The X app seems to get confused, at first it seems to forget that I'm playing music in multiple rooms, then it turns the volume down.  The lead ends up with a volume at about 1/3 of original and everything else is muted.

I have the problem with this app, anyone else has the same problem ?

- when you play the music from NAS , the CD cover is blurred even if you have the hi-res pic.

I don't have the solution yet. Any who know how to set up in the app or NAS ?

Same problems for me as well. Volume behaviour is erratic mainly because I use my moment in an integrated way with a beoplay v1 so the app gets a bit confused about which product's (the moment or the v1) volume to turn up or down. Moreover I have the same issues with the multiroom as mentioned above. My way around is to use the beomusic app. In the X app you have to turn the source local on and then try to add the blc. Then you have to turn off the source from which you play to your blc. If you then want to play an other song then the source (the moment in my case) will turn on again etc etc.

According to my opinion the beomusic app was much better and easier as a multiroom controller than the x app. In general it gave you a feeling that it is simple and straight forward. The x app seems quite complicated and as a result has not reached the right B&Oish level.

I agree with you. The X app is hard to use. The theme looks great but functionality wise its difficult to operate. Hope they can make manual for this and improve the application. I suggest put back the beomusic in the appstore since its the most convinient app for playing the B&O products.

I believe that the way you could operate the multiroom in the beomusic app was great. Just turn your iPhone tap on the plus sign....done! Two simple moves.

On the other hand I believe that the X app has much more potential as I have a feeling that eventually it will be one app to rule them all! Meaning that it will "absorb" all the other apps (beoremote, beomusic) except maybe the beolink2.

I'll say it so:

Once in a while I try to use the new/the X app ;-(

But - as of now - I keep turning back to the Beomusic app ;-)

By contrast, and to encourage the development team, I use the X app all the time: even my usage of Apple Music Airplay has dropped off

I believe that we all use the x app but mainly for testing. When I want to relax or have guests at the house I prefer the beomusic as it is easier (at least for me)Smile

It so often happens that a development team gets so committed to their project that their pride and arrogance takes over. This is the case here. The new app has taken MONTHS and they still can't get things right. All sources are not present. There is not even a proper iPad version! They announce with great flourish BeoLink Converter support -- which is a total JOKE and does not really work! The arrogance here is that they removed a functioning app -- the BeoMusic App from the iTunes store. Seriously. It feels like we're dealing with amateurs here. What is so important here is that the new B&O devices rely so very heavily on software -- yet, B&O can't seem to source the talent that they need for competent software development teams.

they did remove the app to early - but I do not onderstand why deleting the Beomusic app of ones iDevice with the introduction of the X-app?

Disagree. I have 3 BLC, in my setup the X-app works; simple as that!

Still asking myself: is this not possible in your setup or is your setup not correct?

In my case we wonder if I should have gotten two BLCs. One to be the Audio master, one to be the Video master.

I beginning to think having all my MLC go through one BLC makes the configuration and usage difficult.

What do you think ?

In my set up this is what I do. I have a beovision 6-26 in the bedroom and a beomaster 6500 in the main living room. The blc is connected to the beomaster 6500 (via a t1611) and to the bedroom (beovision 6-26) via a master link to rj45 and it works fine (except after power cuts which during summer time we have quite a few). In the playroom I have a beoplay v1 and a moment. In the living room (where the blc is) I have sources available from all the device (both audio and video (sound only)). In the playroom I also have all sources available (sound only). In the bedroom given the fact that I have no blc I can access all the sources from the beomaster 6500. I am quite happy with my setup as my goal was to share throughout the house access to beomaster's sources.

I am a strong believe of simplicity in engineering (an engineer should be happy when he has nothing else to take away Smile ) and I believe I have created a quite simple setup. Moreover the X app works ok with the blc....but just ok not as I would expect. What I mean is that at least for now you cannot access deezer music. In order to do so you have to play deezer to another device (moment in my case) and join it from the blc. This is frustrating as you have to constantly switch sources in order to control the volume and the content for example. Furthermore you have to interrupt what the person in the other room is doing in order to mute the moment or let him/her continue watching tv for example. And the chary on the cake is that you have to do it every single time you pick another song. Not at all B&Oish!

I am confident that all these problems will be solved and I am happy to be a small part of the solution but till then Beomusic app is my choice.

You exactly described my "other room" frustrations with the BLC at this time.

However when I am in the "correct" room the X App works well and I prefer its interface for Deezer. I spent my afternoon playing music that way today.

that's why i thought and that why i own two BLC.

unfortunately, the X app still does not allow to start a stream from deezer or dlna. the beomusic app does (with limitations).

i had high hopes, but it looks like the X app is a step back in terms of functionality and not a stop forward. i do like the GUI and deezer integration though, but that doesn't over-compensate for the lack of features.

Is there a way to download the beomusic in ipad? Im really struggling explaining to one client. Seriously, i need to visit once or twice a week that client just because he cannot properly play his music from itunes through BS Moment.

It is installed on my iPad 3 (30pin) iOS 9.3.5 and does its job. But you get a resized picture of the app in portrait mode.

Edit:

Oops! I gave a comment on the new app. But BeoMusic works on my iPad too without resizing.

I believe that if you have downloaded it before you can restore your ipad to a previous date and it might come up. Not sure, try at your own riskEmbarrassed

No need for 'restoring'.

Just get it - if you already had it installed, it is still there on the app store/using the same account.

Dear members,

Further to the discussion about the BLC I managed to make my ML part join in a multiroom session from my BS Moment.

For sharing purpose I made a little "how to", as I feel there are so much parameters to manage.

Not sure if this helps anyone here but liked to share my configuration.

First of all, the X app is not the best solution for joining in, the Music app still is. Managed with both apps though.

My setup on ML side is very simple, only a BS 3000 with BL4000's connected with BLC and joint with multiple NL/Multiroom products.

Setup for BLC:

activated BS Moment as source on the ML part:

Activated BS 3000 - CD as source on NL side:

IR mapping:

Joining ML in multiroom session - BeoMusic app: Select BS 3000 / select music

After joining: Note that the + symbol on the BS 3000 cannot be used for joining, only through the above mentioned methode

Joining ML in multiroom session - X app:

Select ML product which you want to join

then tab on middle of lower screen on BS 3000:

press the options ... button:

select the music source:

music session joint:

The X app to me feels unlogical, the Music App is more easy. Also in X app you cannot change volume on BS 3000 in multiroom mode. On the Music app this is possible

Hope this little how to do is helpful. The X app still needs to be further optimized. As others have said already, B&O made a big mistake by discontinue the BeoMusic App so early on the development of the X app. For new multiroom users it should still be available as download in the app store.

best regards,

Serge
