That confirms my suspicion. For the past 24 hours the B&O app consumed 72% of my battery !

Regarding the battery issue, we're on it. Getting quite hot in my pocket as well and sucks battery really fast. Will make a hotfix as soon as we have a solution.

After deleting the app and doing a factory reset on the moment and Essences I have managed to get the DLNA working on the Mk2 Essence, but the Mk1 now shows up the music from my beomaster 5 but will not add it to the queue and will not play anything. the only thing I can get to work is Tunin (forgot that the Mk1 does not support deezer). Any idea as how to get music to play from the Beomaster 5 via DLNA and the app on a MK1 essence?

first thank you, for taking on a new aproach with the App. Are there any plans to integrate a shuffle button for DLNA-content / DLNA-playlists in the near future? I can access all DLNA-content, but a shuffle-option for my playlists would be a really great option. My playlists are usually sorted by genres (Blues, Jazz, Pop, Rock...) If I start the playlist „blues“ now, it becomes very boring after a while, because it always starts with the same sequence of songs.
Maybe have a look on the ios app 8player. There is a shuffle option integrated. Or you could ad a section in the setting to turn on/off shuffle in general.

The shuffle function shows up in the BLGW programming screen. Therefore, maybe it is possible? We also need the ALL JOIN feature.
I'm finding with the new app that often not all of my devices will show up in the multi-room tab. However, I can join devices manually by using the on-device physical control.

Let's avoid always-the same-order boring playlists, especially when a single playlist hosts all the songs (ca 4000)!

Another remark: Music from iTunes/Library/Songs displays only iTunes purchases and not AppleMusic downloads. Any chance to include downloads too?

Unknowin if it is related to battery drain, but I've noticed that the new app makes my iPhone hot, but now that you've mentioned it, yes, I've noticed a bit of a battery drain. However, I can live with that as long as the app isn't at the front, mainly because it does work better than BeoMusic.

Same here. It says support for legacy products and lists Beolit 12. In what way should this support manifest itself? I tried to go to "add new product" in the app, but my Beolit 12 is not discovered. I even tried a reset of the Beolit 12. On the other hand, how could it? It's not a beolink multiroom product, after all.
Does anybody know what kind of functionality one is supposed to get out of using these non-beolink legacy products with the app?

Just to clarify. The support for A8, Playmaker, BeoPlay A9 MKI and BeoLit 12 is setup only. Those products cannot do more than they could before, that would require a software update of the products themselves and no further development is being done on those platforms. Sorry.

Apple have said that supporting AirPlay 2 requires software or hardware updates to the speakers themselves. If Beolit 12 is no longer being developed, it will not receive these updates and therefore I don't see how it would ever work with AirPlay 2. However, AirPlay 1 speakers will likely continue to work with iOS and Mac OS just as before for many years to come.

Question. DLNA. Are cover art under albums supported in the app?
I currently use Synology NAS->LMS->Airplay Plugin->A6. Controlled via the iPeng app on iOS.

No, you don’t get any album art in that list - you get it, when you open an album and see the tracks in it.
Don’t confuse the power of the LMS with the general weakness of a DLNA server (there might be different views for different servers and different players).
In the above example (using iPeng) is shown, what the main LMS server is capable of.
In the lower example is shown, what the DLNA part (it is a part of the current LMS server) is capable of in the app.
P.S. I still have my old Squeezebox Touch connected to the line-in of my Essence - just in case I want to browse my files more intense.
Imust admit, that I don’t do that very often - the convenience of staying in and controlling everything in one app is more appealing to me.
Why don’t you use the Jukebox to browse your collection, when you use the Moment as the player?
That might give you other options (?)
Thinking a bit more about this, I noticed that you wrote that you use an airplay plugin in the LMS server in order to airplay to the (in the example above) BeoPlay A6.
Since the (in the lower example) BS Moment has no support for airplay, you have to stick to the (plain) DLNA part of the LMS there.
On a side note: what is that plugin called, please?

So, we got to work with fresh eyes and with all the complaints given in our feedback channel both politely and angrily. This resulted in an entirely new navigation pattern and a new and Deezerless onboarding experience. We have also put the products we know you love front and center, in other words given them the position they deserve. This is just to mention a few things, there is much more. We have just put the very first beta of this on TestFlight (in review as of writing, should be out shortly) and would love you to check it out. Bear in mind this is early bits and still rough around the edges. This was Thomas' announcement in August last year .... since then after some testing by y'all we have seen the public release (version 1.6).
There now appears to be a NEW beta at version 1.7 that came out this weekend.
I am not sure which Beta thread we should use - I have posted this news in two.
The beta contents are:
1. Tone Touch (I have no idea what this is !)
2. Video during Login ... looks nice, but once logged in you don't see it again :(
Oh, and I have found I minor UI bug related to not being logged into Deezer with the account refresh.

Are there any updates? The progress in the new app is mind-boggeling slow although in the right direction. I’m missing some basic functionality — the app should be as versatile as a beo-remote.
