@ beogreg,
Yes I was refering to "la box". Thank you for your answer
Can you please tell me how to post some pictures? I would like to share my installation but can't figure out how to do it...

Hi,
Thanks for your help regarding the setup. By the way, I figured out that 1080p/50hz is the best setup to get the best picture from the set-top box.
I have an issue with Beoremote app though: it works perfectly on my Iphone 4s but doesn't work on my Ipad... When I open the app, it says that no B&O device has been found. Any idea what's going on?
Also, I'd like to have your opinion on the way to setup my network. I have a "Numericable box" which provides internet and an Apple Airport Express. Do you think I should use the Airport Express to create the network or use the box and simply connect the Airport to the existing network? What would be the most stable option?
Thanks
Hi KMA,
Sorry to bother you again ;)
As you might have seen on some of my recent posts, I received my BV11 and I really enjoy it so far. Amazing sound and picture quality, I'm not disappointed!!!
I just have one question though concerning the sound setup:
As I don't have additionnal speakers, I would like to adjust the sound settings so when I listen to some music, the sound is a little bit fuller and deeper than when I watch TV.
I know I can have a dedicated SPEAKER GROUP for that but how would you "twist" the settings to achieve a better sound adapted to music?
On the other hand, did you adjust anything for the classic TV SPEAKER GROUP?
Also, I'm using a Mac Mini to stream for some movies and listen to some music, do you think I can use a IR cable with a PUC to control the Mac Mini with the BR1? It would be so convenient...
Thanks for your help!

As for the first question. I believe you can adjust some settings for the default TV setting in the Advanced Setup menu. For example, as you're watching the TV source (My TV source is TiVO connected to HDMI 1)
MENU > SETUP > SOUND > SPEAKER GROUPS > Create a new Speaker Group (assign speaker roles) > STORE > at this point you'll be able to tweak your settings (Speaker Distance / Level)... I'd recommend adjusting the levels up a bit, customize to your room and surroundings.
Now when you go BACK, you'll see "GROUP 4" as the name of this new speaker group. Rename it as you wish.
The Second question about controlling the Mac Mini with an IR cable, I do the very same thing with an application on the MAC MINI called "RemoteBuddy". The PUC in the BV11 is set to AppleTV.
Hi Fredpert,
What you can do is in your current setting and select
Menu > Setup > Sound > Sound Modes > 7 Music
That should do the trick. :-)
Also did you get the remote app to work on your iPad?
You could delete the app from your iPad and reinstall it, and ensure that the Avant is on the same network as your iPad and it should be fine :-)
@Sal, Thanks for your help. Actually, I already set a new speaker group for music but I was wondering if you would be able to give me a precise setup like how much do I need to increase the levels, do I need to play with bass etc...
@Aussie Michael, my app works fine now, I just had some issue with my network but everything is back to normal now, thanks
Cheers

fredpert, I think this is up to your specific tastes, room, kind of music you usually listen to. Obviously there's no right answer. Try adjusting the bass up a bit, and maybe increasing the dB's up ever so slightly. I'll let the pros on this site give you better advice than me! LOL

No worries mate, just be mindful that you can adjust these settings though :-) I was playing music and it sounded rubbish and i changed it to the music setting and that sound good
It was via a speaker group for my rear BeoLab 3s , and the group sets them up as Front Left and Front Right even though they are in the rear.
Anybody can tell me the differences between a BV11-55 MKI and the latest (MKIV I think) ?
There may be more, but the few differences which come to mind off the top of my head of the MkIV vs the previous marks are; MkIV has:
...and the Struer badge...
Sal: Speaker grill attaches magnetically
Thanks for your answer, it was one of the points I wanted to check before buying a used one. So it means that on the MKI we can not use the Wood grill of the BV14 I think...
The MK1 also had some manufacturing issues that may have been resolved in later years. In my MK1 the foam surrounding the inside of the screen has some minor gaps, so in some cases I do see bleed from the LEDs. Minor issue but bothersome at first. I also read here that some people had dust accumulated on the inside of the screen. But just having the WISA capability built in is worthwhile in the long term if you plan to add additional speakers.
Overall it is a beautiful TV.

If it is only a matter of clips being added to the back of the grill plate in lieu of the magnets, which I believe are glued in place, perhaps the dealer / technician can convert the new oak grill to fit the MkI... they might be able to repurpose the clips from an existing speaker grill and attach them to the oak one? Honestly, for the price of the Oak Grill, a magnet to clip conversion should be something B&O does for free for customers who ask.
