MrAndersen:Happy testing, and as I said, keep it coming good or bad.
1. when JOIN-ed a device, display the main-speaker's name of the Group (same as on the display of the BS35)
2. Extend with a Favorite page (per NL device) in addition to the dots. Every Favorite page can hold op to ten artists/albums/tracks from Deezer/DLNA. In the B&o app the favorites can be chosen (changed, deleted).
3. ML sources connected to a BLC and set as integrated, can be choosen and started. But if for example one wants to change from Phono to A.Tape, despite the change in showing the A.Tape as source, the Phono continue to play (Note: this isn't only a phenomenon in the Halo, the app does the same). To change one first has to Std.by the ML/NL device and start the NL/ML master again with the other source.
4. add Standby for linked products.
5. confusing: if one wants to push a software update, one expect to search Product Settings of the Halo in the app, but one has to go to Settings, Products, Halo to push the software update. (maybe also a point of inprovement in general for the app. Sometimes "settings" are shown twice)
6. One iDevice is used to setup the Halo (f.e. iPhone). The other iDevice (iPad) doesn't show the image of the Halo (it becomes visible after adding a new Halo, but canceling the setup thereafter).

That's an excellent suggestion.

The Essence Remotes are $300 USD; to buy 9 of them is $2,700 USD. If you know where I can get a set of Beolab 17s for that price I'll buy them immediately!
I use all the remotes quite regularly. In the master bedroom I have a table version right next to my bed and a wall-mount near the dresser. In the master bath I have one just outside the shower to control the M5 by the sink. One each for kitchen, dining room, office, and lab; living room has one on the table and one on the wall. Thus, each playback device has one remote except for master bed and living room which have 2 each due to my usage patterns. I have used every single one of those remotes in the last 48 hours.

* Yes, really! 🤦♂️
That's a MUST. Would improve usability if there's e.g. "Stair Lights" instead of 2 buttons and "Radiostation XX" instead of 3 buttons...
beojeff:Good news: it CAN play linked sources.
How do you access linked sources? Does the HALO has access through a NL/ML convertes (despite listed incompatible on the compatibility chart)?
How complicated would it be to implement the Moodwheel - which I consider to be one of the most brilliant ideas of B&O in recent times - from BS Moment on the Halo? Would that also require some hardware or is it only software dependent?
If the Halo had the Moodwheel I think it would be the most perfect remote imaginable - plus the Moodwheel would fit nicely on the screen of the Halo and be a much better solution that other kind of music browsing.

I am pretty sure that is because the shown sources are sources linked to the BS1!
And - of cource - there must be a converter in the setup for that to be possible.

Give the possibility to rename the "LINE IN". For example now I have a BS5e line in connected to a BLC. It would be easier to see "BS5e" in the display than "LINE IN". Especially because it could also be the LINE IN of the linked product ("Line-in" is shown as the source of the BS35, "LINE IN" as the BLC source for example).

Carolpa-
Have you been able to see every source from NL/ML Converters connected as Primary Linked device and Secondary Linked device? I've found certain sources will depend on whether the converter is connected as Primary or Secondary. I believe the sources are CD and Phono.

I agree that MW was the best concept since a while and which made me purchase a Moment.
The Halo is not a player, a MW feature in the Halo would require some kind of storage to build an index of the customer music favorites, Deezer and DLNA, which could be huge for some of us, store the track associated moods that would be fetched from either the track metadata or from an external provider such as Gracenote, get tracks that are related from Deezer to be used in the equivalent of the two external rings, process all these informations and expose them is some form of UI that could fit in such small display. This would be CPU intensive thus requiring the Halo to be plugged in the mains all the time.
The Halo does not have the required hardware to support this processing and we all know that the MW is now dead with no more hope that it will resurrect in its current form, if it resurrects, which means the end of the concept for me, unfortunately.
BS Moment, BS Core, BG 4002, BC 4500, BS1, BL18, BL19, BL8000 + RCV1, A6, M5, M3, A1, P6 (tks Botty), H5, TR1

And YES: all PRIMARY sources of ML products are visible (but not all are made visible).
They are: BS9000 (radio, cd, aux), BS3000 (radio, cd, aux). Beosystem 7000 (radio, cd, phono, a.tape, a.tape2)
EDIT: just did a test. I linked the BLC with the BS3000 as Secundary to the BS35. On the Halo the BS3000 sources were, as expected, NOT shown.

I believe the sources are CD and Phono.I do not use Secondary linked products, because I didn't get the hoped/expected outcome when sources were connected Secondary. (note: this was/is based on early experience of the BLC in NL. I didn't check for changes recently. Because of no software updates for the BLC, I do not expect changes though!) For me, I can add CD to the local list, but it does not appear on the app, Halo, or BeoRemote One in bluetooth mode when CD is a source on the Secondary Linked device. For the Primary Linked device, I have the similar issue with either Phono or Aux -- I can't remember which. Therefore, I must always assign the BeoSound 9000 as the Primary Linked product (for cd) and the BeoSystem 5500 as the Secondary Linked product (for turntables). Maybe it's because I have both primary and secondary linked products. I was hoping someone else might confirm that they encounter the same issues.

Of course.

mbolo01:I think this is a product feature to be implemented so that It should be possible to provide an alias to the various .IN ports of the B&O products within the product settings itself, and have the App / remotes to leverage it when alias exists.
But the chance B&o would update sw of the BLC looks very small to impossible! So that's my reason to ask for having the option for LINE IN aliasses for the Halo.
talking about sw versions, this I notices when looking for some details for the Halo. But my devices all have other sw versions........

My Essence MK2 has a version 1.22.38750 (and is set to automatic update).
To work with the Halo it needs 1.23.40317
VERY STRANGE!!!

Got you, I keep forgetting about oldest products with no more updates, sorry, an our Moment are surely in this category now.
Thanks for the sw versions link, looks like global update is coming! All my products are also at lower versions, being the latest.

My Halo arrived.
Decent. Fairly basic though, in my opinion. You can choose your connected speaker, adjust the volume, create a few presets and so on. You can't browse music, you can't see album tracks or anything in, say, a Spotify playlist.
But, it does what it says on the tin. If you want a quick volume controller this does the job and does it well.
Worth £700? No way. £400 max.
I really love the Halo.
I only have IR products, but i think it’s time to invest in some Multiroom speakers! 😀
A true B&O product. As Moxxey said, 750€ is very expensive, but B&O is expensive... 😔
Razlaw:I wish my Halo would arrive.
I thought you said you cancelled it as it doesn't support many of your devices? Not convinced I'd get one if I was playing my BL50s and it couldn't control the volume.
The Halo just reminds me of a sphere BeoRemote One. Similar screen, idea and materials. Just 3x the price.

StKong:I am thrilled with this new tool that makes NL very much alive.
The remote function and the NL Multiroom are two different and independent things I'm afraid.

Really? No more than the BeoRemote One? I was playing with mine last night. Fairly limited. Or am I missing something.
Razlaw:I wish my Halo would arrive. Dealer is waiting for his stock to arrive. I am beginning g to wonder if US release is behind the rest of the world. The app still does not show the Halo and shows no update available. Anyone in the US have one?
I'm in the US and received my first one (bronze table) last Thursday on the launch date. I just ordered my second one (bronze table) yesterday. It seems that the color choice could have something to do with the availability. If you look at the B&O website, it shows the natural and brass table models are sold out. However, the bronze table model and all colors of the wall model are available.
