Hi, is it possible to access the service menu on the Beomaster 5 with only mouse and keyboard? I have bought a used one and can't get it to react on the remote through my BV3 over masterlink.

The answer is yes. It´s even easier than with the remote control. I guess your keyboard and mouse are connected to the BM5 via USB?

Yes, it's connected with USB to the BM5. Where can I found out how to do it?

When you see the BM5 menu (N.MUSIC, N.RADIO etc.) on the screen of your master TV, press MENU 9. Then you should be able to navigate through the service menu with the keyboard.

How do I press menu 9 when it doesn't react to the remote?

I think you will need an external IR eye connected to your BM5. As far as I remember, it doesn`t work with older BVs, that doesn`t detect PC command.

And yes, R9 should work.

After R 9, 0 0 enter

This will give you the servicemenu.

At the "roles" menu, you can change some options regarding responding.

Thanks alot, this worked fine! Now I can control the Beomaster 5 over masterlink.  Also, with the latest software the BV3 has PC as a source.
