Søren Mexico:

Your wife has a good music taste, I have the Janis Joplin CD, bought many years ago, good cleaning machine BTW.

Yeah, thanks, she´s got lots of records of that style and time, e. g. Jimi Hendrix, Patti Smith Group, The Who, Pink Floyd and many more. The JJ record is the original german release. Taking every single record in my hands let me find some long forgotten ones, being really worth playing it, like the Stones record I found at the very beginning of my work.

The cleaning machine is really nice and works very well. Doing the cleaning by hand also gets me calming down and relaxing, so it is working in various directions Smile.

Kind regards,

Rolf

Just bought 2 pcs Sam Cooke LP, 1 180 gram vinyl, Live At Harlem Square, the other one not 180 gr. Night Beat. Have to wait to hear them, until I pick them up in McAllen TX.

Cumberland Blues the Grateful Dead -  iPod connected to my 2400. My "Hippies" playlist an assortment of mostly "Bay" area bands from the late 60's with a few other groups from around the world mixed in.

Just now Ball and Chain by Big Brother & the Holding Company came on. One of my favorite art album covers. I cant remeber if it wass that album cover or Zap Comics that I discovered first but I have been a huge Robert Crumb fan ever since.

For the fella's above, if it's any consolation a whole heap (ok, about 4) of single girls I know were complaining that they didn't get so much as a card on valentines day. Lots of miserable wimmin. Hang on, maybe........

....and maybe you should hear this.

Not that I needed it, but I suddenly had to hear it - it is the piece with the drum solo from Ginger Baker.

Hearing this, all cranked up, lets you forget every sorrow Whistle

Just listening to Philip Glass: Koyaanisqatsi with my BeoPlay H6 (just bought) at the computer. These headphones make you hear many details.

The electronic ounds (synthesizer) move between my ears through the head. There is enough room left for cranking up the volume to a less healthy level ...

And now I check the virtual barbershop ...

Just had a very good dinner with the FS, meat fondue, Filete de res, cold sauces (spicy), music from a local FM station, oldies Blondie, Queens, Stones and so on, and that from my 5000 pizza boxes and Beovox 3000, now enjoying a pair of chocolate cookies and a good cup of coffee. A Stephen King movie on the black side TV

Home alone, shifted the BG 5000 and Beovox 3000 to BM 4000 to exercise the BM, at the moment playing ABBA the singles, then on Mexicana, Luis Cobos and the Royal Philharmonics

I have it sitting in my dining room, just over my 5000 stack, it has been sitting there for some 3 month now, not connected, I just like to look at it, now connected and playing Mexicana, I listen to it, and I like it better than my BM 5000 pizzabox, somehow the sound is better to my ears, to my eyes, one of the best looking vintage models, looks better than my BM 4400, that one will get some hours exercise tomorrow. That BG 5000 is my best BG until now it has a new SMMC4, too bright, but the high filter on the BM fix that.

Good to see you again Jeff.

Soren you really need to get a pair of S-75's or M70's to fully appreciate that thing.

But in the meantime hook it up to the 3702 or the P 45's.

Will do the P45s, but more holes in the wall, the FS, and I´m kind of lazy just now, as for S75 and M70 I´m looking but prices are crazy at the moment.

Hello Søren,

Good to be seen.

I will weigh in here in favour of the S-75 speakers, price notwithstanding; they’d make a fine addition to your collection. Failing an S-75 purchase, S-45’s are a remarkable speaker and one of Peter’s favourites. Of course I was fortunate enough to get my two pairs of S-75’s for free, as well as two pairs of S-45’s.

As for what is playing now, one of my favourite home-made cassettes, all music from my high school days on the Beocord 8004/Beomaster 2400/S-45 combo. Big Smile

And your Beomaster 4000 is drop-dead gorgeous!

Jeff

White Beogram 6006 with MMC20CL plays side 2 of Beethoven klavierkonzert nr.3 C.minor with Wilhelm Kempff Deutsche Grammophon.

After a few cleaning atempts with AM record cleaner it gets clean enough to enjoy with less dust, dirt and static build up which has come since the record was new back in???? I got the record secondhand so I do not know.

While at work perusing new sounds on YouTube, I remembered one band I previously found - TV Girl.

Very young/hip so I'm sure this wont appeal to all, but HERE you go. I really like this!

While working on P45 woofers, I listened to a few new CD pickups:

Neil Young Americana (great version of "Gallows Pole," much different lyrics than Zeppelin)

Talking Heads More Songs About Buildings and Food

Warren Zevon Excitable Boy (already had the LP, but what the heck, great stuff)

Steely Dan Countdown to Ecstasy

A friend sent me this.  Never seen it before.  Made me laugh.

I was obviously born in the wrong era.  I love a bit of trash......

Only seen this one with a seat-belt on.  Stick out tongue

Please watch and drool over Cher or the sexy women or the pretty poofs.  WOOF!!!
