Ok, the name is already known. Obviously we will see another B&O reincarnation.

Will it be a 2 versions, with and without FM radio?

Only this 2 type of stands (see pictures below) or will it be the trumpet stand available too?

The new Horizon sounds amazing in it design. I hope it has the electric curtains :)

Horizon is a bit worrying - it reminds me of those Talbot Horizon really awful cars that I saw as a lil shorty :)

The electric curtains?

Like the V1 has when you switch it off?

Yes :) To me, that's part of the B&O experience although, a beach house that I rented in the Maldives had a TV whose make i'd never heard of and to my amaze, it also had that feature!!! I could of cried when the BV6 didn't have it or the BV8 26/32.

Come to think of it our Beocenter 6 doesn't do it either. We only really use it as a DAB radio on the landing or occasionally a DVD player. But our MX 4200 had both the curtains and motorised wall mount.

Same here Simon - I used the BV6 more to listen to music on it as it sounded so brilliant. Even with the bass on full, there was zero vibration from the cabinet. A friend of mine who was obsessed with everything in red bought a BC6 simply because he could order one with the red grille and surround! It looked amazing!

Are you sure the MX 4200 had the electronic curtains ?

Thought the first product was the 1993/1994 28" 50 hertz Avant.

Before that in 1992 the AV 9000 had mechanical curtain but beolink MX 4200 ?

The MX range did not have the electric curtains. In the TV-tube range the Avant and BV3-32 (having doubts about the 28") had the electronic curtain (more of less the same platform) and the AV9000 had the mechanical curtain..

The electric curtains are a lovely idea and it's quite surprising that other manufacturers (apart from this cheap unheard of brand in the Maldives/Asia) havn't copied it! I'm really surprised that Samsung did not steal the idea! Attention to detail like that is really superb.

But even better: Why not "wooden curtains" again? Cool

Would match BL18 and Moment nicely ....

And the name could be "Beovision Horizon 55 SJ"

Wow pictures -- they look marvellous

I wonder if anyone had a local artist embellish the panel roll ?

I can imagine all sorts of technical reasons why a modern flat screen version would not work -- but the possibility is a wonderful fantasy to nurture until announcement day

They could even introduce an electronic 'wooden' curtain - pick your own style: oak, walnut......

Don't worry too much (unless it is really a space problem and you can't fit a larger screen in your room?): my experience is that each time I have gone for the bigger screen size, whether for my BV7 55", my iMac 27" or my iPhone 6 Plus, not only have I never regretted it, but I have afterwards always looked at the smaller screen sizes, being grateful that I chose the larger one.

You get used to - and fond of - the bigger screen sizes, that is really my experience.

I think screen size is a real personal preference. To me, I find a large screen terribly vulgar, I feel the same with these larger phones - just pure vulgar. When I walk into peoples houses and see a large screen, i'm immediately turned off. Just taste and preference I guess.

I'm agree with @PaulW about screen sizes. I'm very glad owning a stunning BV MX4000, nobody see it, even in my little apartment. Searching for years a BV6-26 (HDMI version) in red, very hard to find, or a V1-32" in dark grey, very hard to find as well. Screen sizes from 40" aren´t made for me.

Anyway, I'm very exited about the new BV, at last to find a good second hand V1-32" Big Smile

It's all about choice... A big nice screen in a room that's large enough can be great... but for my bedroom, I'd quite like a smaller TV...

I'm with Paul about large screens being vulgar on a home... But like a lot here, I like to be "inside" the movie...

My solution : BV8 40 + video projector : discrete design and 40" for the news... and more than 3m diagonal for the movies ;-)

It's only vulgar if you don't have the design nous to pull it off

A lot of homes here aren't as small as some European ones so it fits into a room better.

If you say had an old cabinet where you have a smaller CRT and use that same cabinet and plonk a big black piece of glass on it then it looks weird.

I couldn't sit down in a room ready for a movie and en experience to squint across the room.

Appreciate that it's not for everyone. Lets have a Party !!!

Completely correct. Also, there are a lot of homes where people stick a modern B&O TV and have, frankly speaking, god-awful furniture and home decoration surrounding it. That's far more vulgar in my eyes :)

Totally disagree. Certain things have class and some are pure vulgar. 4x4s are an example - just pure uneducated vulgar!

Wouldn't this be a matter of personal taste over vulgarity?

I have an Avant 75, a 110 projector and 2 4x4s.

I guess I'm vulgar?

I think all of these things are a matter of taste.

My 75 is in the main living area which is 22 feet wide by 36 feet long. It's appropriately sizes for the room.

The 4x4s are to pull trailers and haul people and things.

It's obvious Paul W doesn't have a wife and children, hauling them and all their kit around is why SUVs exist. Personally I much prefer what we call station wagons and Europe calls estate cars or flying spurs, but I'm obviously in the minority. Sales of the Porsche SUVs is what is probably keeping them alive.

Ditto.

spending thousands on our TVs is an indulgence. Some people need 4/4s and they may well be quite well educated. I stopped buying Audis when they brought out the Q7 and the salesman warned me things were changing as I collected my third new A3 S-line....

Alright Lads, let's play nice now.

A "matter of taste" can just boil down to pure 'opinion', of which 'vulgarity' is just one. And I'm sure the true point of reference would be things like a Hummer, or those items produced by Brikk, or anything associated with, say, Christiano Ronaldo (I probably opened a whole can of worms there lol).

I'll admit, I probably have no business buying anything B&O, as it can be argued it's not exactly 'living within my means'. But then again, we all have our vices, and with whatever methods that allow me to be a proud owner of anything made by this company, I will always treasure what I do have as my little slice of luxury.

I understand completely. While I don't like to drive SUVs or pickup trucks, since I bought this house that's larger, with 3 acres of property, I have come to understand the need for such things a lot more. Fortunately for me my contractor is also my friend and usually can be counted on to haul what I need and I buy him lunch now and then and work on his guns when he has a problem, good arrangement, but I'd be better off without a sports sedan/saloon and with a vehicle capable of hauling.

And while I don't personally like SUVs, I would never disparage someone for owning same or a pickup even if they don't haul things. That kind of elitist nonsense is just that, shallow self absorbed nonsense. People should be, and are, free to buy and own what they like, it's their money. Where I live I see a lot of expensive bass boats for use fishing on the lakes here. Not my cup of tea, but also not my money or life. I'm a big believer in minding my own business, if things I don't personally like make someone else happy, that's cool! Most people don't understand why I spend large amounts of money on B&O, but it makes me smile.
