Got myself a pair of the H4's a couple of weeks ago.
I liked them when they came out - but not the colours
So I said - when/if they will be available in all black, I'll come back to it.
Remeber - you always have to ask yourself, do you need an extra pair of headphones
In this case, yes - they are my first Bluetooth headphones.
The BT technology has matured.
I don't fancy stuffing anything into my ears.
The H8/9 were too clumsy and imo not easy to manage.
The H4's are just right.
In the box was a voucher for a gift, that I could fetch at my local store (where I also bought the H4).
I went there again the other day - and got this little powerbank.
Nothing 'big', but enough for charging the H4, once should you run out of steam on the go.
And it has Bang & Olufsen written on it
All in all very pleased with this purchase.
I use them at home too - some times these and sometimes my (good old) H6.
But I must admit, once you get used to the convenience of being 'unattached', it's hard to use the cable.
So it is more like: if I have a longer session listening from my HP-amp on my V1 or the Playmaker...., I take the H6's.
Otherwise the H4's get connected to my iPad/iPhone
Both have kind of the same sound signature.
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV
I asked a friend of mine to collect new PC boards from B&O Knightsbridge for me to bring back to South Africa.
He ever so kindly bought me a Beoplay P2 in blue as a gift...also bought one for himself. I always say the best B&O's are the free ones.
Fantastic little speaker.
Jacques
Extremely nice, and quite what I would expect from Jacques...... the man has taste!
Hi Jacques,,
I completely agree. I am a member of a vintage hi-fi club and the products that came out 1970-1980 are amazing. Beautiful stuff with large VU meters, I want them all.
Of course with 10 amplifiers I need a reality check. I have enough.
still really admire your amp! Big time! Enjoy
Spectacular !

Mikipedia:@piaf Are you dutch or could you use some help translating? Nice book
Are you dutch or could you use some help translating? Nice book
I am not Dutch, however this is not a book, rather a presentation box for the die-cast model. That said, if you would like to translate, that would be appreciated.
Thank you kindly.
May I suggest that you click on the photo, which will give you the entire photo. Then click on it again with the + image and the photo becomes both large and readable.
This may be less effective on a smartphone, but on a desktop computer with a decent size monitor, the print is quite clear.
Thank you again.
Mikipedia:I can do that, sure, but wouldn’t you like the translation for all the text in the white bit too? I can start on the text in black first if you like
I see no text that is not visible in the photo. Maybe I am missing something, but I believe what appears in the enlarged photo shows all the text.
Thank you for this effort, very kind of you!
Wow, am I ever embarrassed. Now, at very long last, I see what you mean.
I used the photos from the eBay seller, so now all I have to do is take pictures with my iPhone, transfer them via hard wire to my desktop computer, reduce them in size for BeoWorld, then post them and we have everything done.
I am a genuinely well meaning guy, but one with an AKAI 8-Track recorder, 6 Beograms, and 5 B&O Cassette recorders. Sort of vintage like my equipment, if you are kind, three days younger than God, if you are not.
It will take me awhile (tomorrow) but I will get you the photo of the white space from the top, which is the cover to the box.
Dank je
Mikipedia:Btw it’s all written in old dutch, kinda funny to see how it has changed in the last 30+ years
Beyond interesting that you use a word like "kinda" which is not grammatically correct, yet readily understood anywhere in North America. Obviously your English training was far better than mine in French or Spanish. (I was taught to say voiture (wagon) instead of auto, and my Spanish is Castilian, which brings laughter whenever I try to use it in Mexico or South America.
I recently had an employee from Cuba who would all but fall on the carpet hysterical with my out of date Spanish. She really wasn't very nice about it, openly making fun of me in front of the rest of my staff, so I called her a ***, and she said, "Wouldn't you know it, the one word in Spanish you pronounce perfectly."
I kinda liked that.

Especially for a company with a modest size like the Danish Bang & Olufsen. How did B&O manage in this market dominated by multinationals to keep afloat by them selves, but year after year to reinforce their market position? The answer lays in the motto of both founders Peter Bang & Svend Olufsen “We think differently” From their first design the envisaged to make quality products for people that are sensitive to design and technological innovation. A starting point that the current B&O factories in Jutland strive after relentlessly. Because people like that are also present in 1985. Not only in Denmark, but as has been shown now, all over the whole world.

Thank you kind sir, with any luck I will have the white section photographed for you tomorrow.
I am "kinda" sorry BeoWorld edited my last post, the Spanish word I used was colourful, but hardly worthy of censorship. It might sound odd, but I gained respect from my twenty-something employee who had thought I was too "proper" to use such a word.
Mikipedia:No worries!
Here is a (reduced in size) photo of the top cover. I hope it will be clear enough.
VERY interesting (and International) about your background.
I managed two retail stores here in Victoria, British Columbia and there are very few Spanish speaking people here. However, once my staff realized new customers were speaking Spanish among themselves, they backed off, "Oh heck, Jeff will get them....." Worked remarkably well.
Now I am not remotely fluent in Spanish, not even close, and MY Spanish is class-room (stiff) but by merely making the effort to converse with people in their own language created a wonderful and tangible bond. Sales too!
Anyway, here is your photo. And thank you again.
To view the above photo in its entirety, just click on it once.
Mikipedia:Seems like my entire translation hasn’t gone through yet, hope it does, but don’t know if it’s held back for review or something..?
They do that in occasion, don't ask me why.
Hey you tried, and with luck, it will appear as if by magic.
Thank you!
Mikipedia:@piaf Bang & Olufsen, the Danish shapers of picture and sound. B&O devices have their own unmistakeable appearance. Serveral have earned a permanent place in museums, that are dedicated to industrial design. But the shape goes deeper than the exterior at Bang & Olufsen. The orderly layout of the minimal numbers of buttons comes forth out of the principle of “technology in service(of you)”. A music or video system should not give the user problems to solve, but should be an intuitive and friendly device for the user. (Here are) some examples from the latest collection that are derrived from that priciple. Beocenter 7700/7007 The fusion of all the components in an audiosystem in one compact device has been made into an artform at B&O. The Beocenters 7700 and 7007 are the most advanced representatives of this. Just take the userinterface of the 7700 with the Master Control Panel. All functions including the “answer”-display you’ll have available at your listening position. You’re able to expand these musicsystems with the unique link-system from Bang & Olufsen. “Central Hifi” means perfect sound projection in any room of your house via extra speakers that will be fed by your Beocenter in your livingroom. The remote controle you can just take with you in the shape of your Master Control Panel or the Beocenter Terminal. Red Line loudspeaker line. Bang & Olufsen has a striking red line dotted out to more freedom(and happiness) for Hifi-listeners. With this line of loudspeakers, that by their special technology and shape are no longer bound to be in a optimal postion or hight. Your ears and listening circumstances will now dictate where the speakers will stand or hang, how often or where ever you move them too. Available in outputs of 45 and 60 Watt. B&O Videosystems Also with B&O tv’s the beautifull shape equals the technical achievement. Picture and sound are audibly and visualy superior. All devices are totally prepared for all thinkable future developments. And the controls with the sleek Video Terminal can grow with it. That same terminal also control almost all of the functions of the B&O videorecorders. You can choose from the Video 2000 or the VHS system, both available in mono or stereo versions. Aswell with these Beocords special care has been given to the soundreproduction. The VHS 90 is actualy an excellent high fidelity recorder for 8 hours of music. Beosystem 5000 One of the prettiest systems a music lover can dream about. With all the advanced posibilities of current day Hifi-technology, plus serveral more refinementa that only Bang & Olufsen had on offer. Like the Master Control Link-system, that lets you expand the system to any room of the house that you would like. Aswell with this system full control - including time programming - will beeven further with in reach. New: Beolab 50's, Beolab 18's, Beovision eclipse. Mikipedi4 on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0WLHXZuA1GANMzYcAn5_xg Old: Beolab 1's, beolab 2, beovision 10-46, overture 2300, beolab 8000's, beolab 4000's, beovision avant 32" etc. etc.
Mikipedia:Yaay, it showed up
Yes it did and THANK YOU so very much! Great work!
I sincerely appreciate your great efforts!
It's been a while since anybody posted in this thread - so I'll "revive" it...I have just been shopping some B&O Play products for the summer ">I started with a S3 -bought second-hand. Mostly because I was curious how this little speaker sounded... Veery good... Impressing sound for such a small speaker - but ofcourse not very much portable, because of the power wire. Then I bought a P2 for using outside. Again - impressing sound for the size (and price). But - i would like a bit more bass - so I bought a A1. Really good sound. So now I have the S3 for moving around in the house (not that I really need it, as I have "stationary" classic B&O systems in every room) - so I guess it will mostly be used in the bathroom ">The P2 is good for using in the garden - and when we're going to the beach. And then the A1 mostly for the terrace.
Besides that, I have bought a pair of Beolab Penta mkIII to replace the Beovox Penta's in my Beobar on the 1.st floor. Pictures will follow later ">
Nice new items Steffen, lets see your Pentas. I am done for a while buying vintage, prices has gone up in the US and MX pesos down like 80% the last 4 years. Just bought caps, some transistors and trimmers from Mouser US for my BL/BM 5000, 110.00 USD, I could probably get it cheaper from Martin, but then I will have to wait some 4-6 weeks for delivery. I have waiting in DK with my son a BM 1000 and BG 1000 bought on DBA, I check there occasionally. Sold a BG 2404 and a BG RX2, 7 BGs was too much
Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.
BeoNut since '75
elephant:Not latest additions But a collection of remotes over the years Including a simless iPhone running the B&O App (Bronze/Gold ‘tever BeoRemote One Anniversary edition doesn’t show up well in the light) Still addicted to my 5000 series (right to left): - CD Terminal (for Beogram CD50) - Terminal 5000 - Master Control Panel 5000 (Open and Closed) BeoNut since '75
elephant:Grrrr I forgot to add one other remote ! Our BeoCom 6000 !

Hi Ed
You definitely lack a Beo1
And what about voice control devices?
Do you count them as remote?
