Isn't that what the real Peter Pan said when Tinker Bell was dying, or was that when he read the Annual Report?

Not really,- the dingle dongle supposedly on sale in B&O stores and shown about a million times is still vaporware Big Smile

Apart from that,- the "bar" in question will soon be open for business!

Sorry - no, not quite correct!

WiSA is just a wireless possibility for connecting speakers.

If you would have a WiSA capable multichannel audioprocessor, where you can combine wireless and wired connections (like those that B&O makes), a full Atmos setup would be possible using WiSA.

Only thing missing there is the support for Dolby Atmos!

From a ‘physical’ point of view, there are more than enough output connections available for a 7.2.4 Atmos setup - especially when you count in the speakers of the tv.

The concern in this case is not WiSA, but the missing Atmos processing.

Just to avoid misunderstandings - WiSA as used in an LG tv will never allow for Atmos, since WiSA by default only can carry up to 6 channels and can not be combined with any wired output in that tv.

The LG/OLEDs (with support for the WiSA Ready dongle) are not for sale in the shops yet (at least not in general).

Yes, you can order these online, but if you go to a dealer like Elgiganten, you will only find the 2008 models.

I guess LG is waiting (they sure still have some 2008 models to sell) untill after the IFA in September to launch the 2009 models generally.

After that the dongles should be on sale, where you can buy WiSA compatible speaker - so also in the B&O stores.

Be patient, my friend 😉

He has already done so a couple of times.

But unlike a few beoworlders and the dealers he has not seen the photos, that are/were accessible - so that is just one more PANtastic contribution to the forum/s.

"Despite challenges, we are still a profitable business, which underlines that we've come
a long way in our transformation, though we still have a great deal of work ahead of us.
With a number of new product launches over the next year and an improved sales and

Then at least, you can keep your OPPO player and the old HDMI cable.....when you go forward to a LG/OLED-A/V receiver combo.

The Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable supports the 48G bandwidth for uncompressed HDMI 2.1
feature support. The cable also features very low EMI emission and is backwards compatible
with earlier versions of the HDMI Specification and can be used with existing HDMI devices.

Good Control - On the way.

LG will release a new software for this year's C9 OLED TV later this year so that they can
be controlled the B&O remote controls. When that software is released it will be remote
controls of the typeBeoRemote One BT (Bluetooth) that can be used with any LG C9 OLED TV.

If LG later extends this to other of their OLED TVs, time must tell. But if the B&B the control can
coexist with LG's own remote control for the C9, so it may as well other models.

Audio Passthrough:

ARC: Yes (HDMI 2)
eARC support: Yes
Dolby Atmos via TrueHD via eARC: Yes
DTS:X via DTS-HD MA via eARC: Yes
5.1 Dolby Digital via ARC: Yes
5.1 DTS via ARC: Yes
5.1 Dolby Digital via Optical: Yes
5.1 DTS via Optical: Yes

PC Monitor:

The LG OLED C9 is an excellent TV to use as a PC monitor, but there is a chance
of burn-in with long exposure to static elements, so it is best to set up your computer
to avoid static elements as much as possible. The C9 has excellent wide viewing
angles, and it has an excellent response time and low input lag, so it feels very
responsive when working.

The C9 supports eARC when connected to a compatible AV Receiver, which allows
it to send higher quality DTS:X and Dolby Atmos via TrueHD sound from an external
device to your receiver. Like the 2018 LG OLEDS, it also supports DTS and Dolby
Digital passthrough to a standard ARC receiver.

When connected to a PC, the PC detected the C9 as a stereo device, so it wasn't
possible to send 5.1 or 7.1 audio to the TV without bypassing the PC's autodetection
system.
___________________________________________________________________

C9 firmware Update 05/24/2019: Retested the eARC passthrough with a different PC,
and no bypassing was necessary: the PC still detected the C9 as a stereo device,
but the bitstreaming ignored that fact, and sent 7.1 TrueHD audio without a problem.

own speaker, or speaker connected to the AVR. Here you do not need any
new soundbar from B&O. You use existing active BeoLab.
