I know…B&O virus has grown on me !
Clearly, everyone's use case is a bit different. I was lucky to buy a barely used Moment for 900 EUR, so it was more of an impulse buy quite frankly.
I get the Core+iPad combo, but I've never considered it because I wanted a WISA system to drive Beolab 17s wirelessly and I wanted mood wheel/pattern play functionalities. Visually I like it better too than the iPad plus cable.
Well I also like the BSM. Just moved and had it shipped one end of the globe to the other with everything else and in its original packaging. Finally unpacked it and dead as a door nail, perhaps after initial use if you unplug it for any period of time it gets grumpy. Anyway something had to be replaced and is a £580 odd bill to fix
I think I found the right balance for me by combining a BSM and a Core.
(1) the Core and BSM are covering each other in case of failure, hardware or software, as I would not live without music.
(2) The Core is linked to the BSM (tks MM) and the Core is connected to a TR1 to stream wireless to my BLs
(3) For vinyle sessions, I have a turntable connected to the BSM which is showing its wood face. I just place the record on the turntable, play it and control the volume via the BSM et voilà. Nice look and feel.
(4) When I want to play my music randomly form my digital sources and according to my mood, I use the BSM MW or PP
(5) When I want to listen to my large DLNA collection, Deezer or TuneIn, or to join another B&O Multiroom experience, I use either the BSM/Tablet or App or the Core/App
(6) When I want to use PLEX features to play my DLNA collection, I either use PLEX app on my Samsung TV connected to the Core ,or PLEX web/mobile apps to stream to B&O individual or group Cast products
(7) When I want some kind of voice control (I'm not a big fan of that), I ask Google assistant to play a particular radio station on a given product or cast group
I must admit that wife is lost with all these possibilities, but she only really cares about controlling the TV sound which the Essence remote connected to the Core does perfectly, including jumping from source to source by a simple press, so I can watch TV and enjoy Music at the same time if needed.
To summarize .... the BSM is really nice but has its gaps that a Core can fill easily while providing some redundancy in the backup point of view.

Typical. I have none of the above mentioned problems.
My Moment uses the speakers which are connected to my BV9 through the NL/ML converter. In the linkmenu the BSM showes a playing Core,Essence and M5. All NL devices are shown in the setupmenu.
So, what’s the difference.
Lyle, if you're listening: please push out a rollback so we can go back to the previous software version. After that, I'll be turning my auto-updates OFF.

To be clear here: we are no longer your beta testers. We should not need to fill out "a form" to report this issue. (As you just emailed me asking me to fill out a form.) We finally thought we had a stable product. Now, it no longer isn't after your software update. Fortunately, I'm still under warranty. I'm prepared to contact my dealer about this for a refund if this isn't sorted ASAP.
Mine has been rock solid prior to and after the update, very odd

And thank you very much for the information in this thread, I immediately turned off the „Automatic software update“. After all the software problems in the past, I am finally happy to have a Beosound Moment that is running smooth. So I decided no more software updates on my Moment!
Can you see your Horizon on the list of networkdevices under Beolink?
Sometimes taking the power off both can solve communication issues.
I am also experiencing frequent wifi dropouts suddenly... Moment then needs to go through reconnect process. Seriously, can we please have a rollback to previous firmware - all was working well?

I'm having those exact same issues. I can connect with my Beovision 10 to use its speakers for a short time, but then the connection becomes unstable and I have to reboot the Moment. I'm using a wired Cat7 connection, btw. When the connection is lost, the Moment is no longer shown in the list of NL devices on the nl/ml converter. However, all of my other NL devices are still shown in the NL list on the converter.
Is a class action lawsuit out of the question? Such is the indifference of Moment owners now but there is plenty of precedent in the consumer technology world.

seethroughyou:It’s worse than that. Class action lawsuits are for those that care and have the energy to care. Most Moment users have given up on the Moment and stopped caring a long time ago. Recent years have proven that B&O don’t care and like an immature, decided to abandon it and runaway rather than stepping up, taking responsibility and trying to work hard on a fix. They are a company of EOL when the going gets tough. I haven’t bought anything from B&O since the Moment and just don’t trust them. They have become a company of headphones. To be honest, I’m questioning how much longer I should be on the forum. The forum is great and the people even better but the passion for B&O has almost completely evaporated. Maybe B&O have moved on and I haven’t.

I recognize myself in the previous words.
One month ago my Jukebox finally give up (again) and I'm not planning to replace it for a third time.
This is the worst buy I did from this company and I'm not planning to buy further goods from them. I was one of the first Moment buyers and helped B&O Denmark endlessly to get this audio component working as it should. Never get any thank you or note to thank me from them.

On an unrelated note, the YouTube app on my BV11 has also started to have issues. The video stops but the sound keeps playing. It would be nice if such an expensive product was maintained for a bit longer. I bought mine in 2015. My Moment was purchased shortly after and was completely unusable until the firmware was basically rewritten years later.

Hello all,
Do any of you have an issue with FIP Radio no longer streaming from the Moment? All other stations on the Moment work fine and FIP works directly from the Web or the TuneIn App, so the service does work.
