Hi Leslie, welcome to the party! Big Smile

Those projects sound very interesting.. Especially the BeoLab. As for BGs - wouldn't you need a 1200?

BG1200? Hmmmmmm, will check my closet, must have one somewhere. Attempting thing to do is make the wooden surround of the BM1200 in (Evan) white, not sure if that's wise to do to be honest! Let's see first if I can find the BG1200, if that's white decision is made. Yesterday I got an offer from Lee to participate on the Struer trip. Unfortunately I can't at these dates!Sad That would have been a great chance to meet you and others in live....

Struer will be a party, wish I could make it with or without invitation, but mammon is king, would like o see how Evan receives his BM 4000.

The BG 1200 was, as far as I know never made in white, please don't, or special Evan Edit.

Yes, of course, my BeoSystem isn't white, its 'Evan.' Stick out tongueLaughing

Even if you had made the trip, you wouldn't have been able to meet me. What I'm saying is that I gave up my spot on the trip. I just couldn't make it happen. With school, money and other commitments the way they are it just became too much of a stretch. When I entered the draw I had every intention of going, but then I switched schools and joined a racing team it became unfeasible.

I  can't even begin to imagine how disappointed Gunther will be. Sad

Indeed, the 'Evan' treatment is more of a process to save a piece of equipment.

I hope we can manage this somehow in the future Crying

Anyone else attending Struer who lives closer to Evan Wink

I wish Soren would be but that's another dream....

P.S. In younger days you have the dreams but not the money.

In older days you might have the money but can't make the dreams come true anymore No - thumbs down

Working through my latest used LP purchases from Deaf Ear Records of La Crosse, Wisconsin, following my monthly business trip to Wisconsin and Iowa.

Currently playing:  Wings at the Speed of Sound

Already played:  Robert Plant Now and Zen

Still to go:  Bruce Hornsby and the Range The Way Is Is, Aerosmith Toys in the Attic, Firesign Theatre Don't Crush That Dwarf Hand Me the Pliers, Beatles Revolver, Jimmy Buffett Songs You Know By Heart, and David Gilmour's first solo LP.

One of the better and more varied of my hauls from Wisconsin.  Incidentally, a used record that sells for $5 in La Crosse, Wisconsin, will go for $20 or $25 here in Orlando.

Yes, it is upsetting. I am pretty bummed about not getting to meet you and the others.

I'm sure our paths will cross someday and when they do, we will have a grand time.

Ok, on to happier thoughts now.. What's playing right now:

Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros - Up From Below

This was something from my discovery list I bought today while out shopping and I must advocate its place in your collection - just great.

And you know what makes it even better? Hearing it through a BM3000-2 with S45-2s! Cool

Pulling out a few duplicate LPs tonight for one last listen over the weekend.  First up, Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here.  This decent copy of Wish, along with the other duplicates, will be mailed to Evan on Monday for listening on his new (to him) BG 1202.

This copy of Wish was rendered redundant when I bought the rerelease earlier this year.  No LP collection should be without this gem.

A 45 rpm / 17 cm record test. I picked up a handful on campus today at 10 cents each! The 1202 took a little warming up but once in gear and spun up it played 45's brilliantly.

So what's playing... Here we are at the end of a Sinatra 45 and I'm absolutely loving it! CoolCoolCool

Surprise Oh my goodness! Wednesday will have to come soon, I won't be able to sleep until then - so excited!!!!! You will want one even more once I stop taking pictures with my iPhone and instead a real DSLR cam. Next round of pics will be worthy of the 'Flash Your B&O' thread.

Hey Evan, what Sinatra song were you listening too?

There is only one Sinatra song for BeoWorlders ... in fact it could be our anthem ... "(I Did It) My Way"

Although I am partial to "It Was A Very Good Year", and I bet so are a few of us

After I boxed up the five LPs to send you, I thought to myself, well, that was stupid!  I should have thrown in a 45 as well!  Glad to see you already have a 45 or three.

Box was mailed today.  Postal clerk says Wednesday delivery.
