Michael Franks - The Art of Tea

Still stuck in a 70's jazz time warp...

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus. Sad

Lucky you!

Still listening to this:

http://www.franceinter.fr/emission-quand-la-musique-donne-27-pink-floyd-emission-speciale

Please listen from 23 minutes 50 seconds and get high! Smile

You can also listen 10 minutes earlier to listen to Ron Geesin's comments (and learn some French!).

Compared to the rest of the album, that is their worst song - I highly recommend listening to the whole CD.

Cruising along to My Morning Jacket, Circuital. Very relaxing tone, I almost fell asleep a few seconds ago. Perfect Sunday evening listening right here.

This is great for those of you into that vintage, tired sounding type of rock.

"Wall of Sound".  A criminal.  A nutcase.  But a genius for that incredible music he produced back in the 60's

As I was leaving campus today, I decided to visit the record shop. I need to get some new tunes, spring break and some long flights are coming up Cool

So today I picked up some Grizzly Bear, Yellow House. This is great stuff for chill, late night listening. Apparently, this album was recorded in three residential homes - I wouldn't have guessed that by listening! At first I didn't like it but now I can't turn it off.

I am demoing the album Veckatimest and can safely say that I will be buying it tomorrow morning once the music store opens!

"Weary Blues" ... started out with Madeleine Peyroux's version (from my CD), and then used google/youtube to explore variations and other completely different versions but Madeleine wins every time !

Home early for the day caring for a sick daughter who's not allowed in day care for the balance of the day.  Killing a few minutes before the WedThread with The Byrds Greatest HIts downloaded from iTunes Monday night.

Sunday the wife was watching some movie on ABC Family, then Forrest Gump came on.  We started watching it, and at the first commercial break, I went and dug out my DVD copy of the film.  We watched the rest of the movie.  A few things I said during the movie:

"I don't have any Byrds any more.  Must do something about that."

"I don't have any CCR any more.  Must do something about that."

"I don't listen to Jimi Hendrix enough.  Must do something about that."

"I don't watch many movies any more.  Must do something about that."

"Sorry, honey.  I'll just shut up and watch the movie now."

Must be a replay ... the real live event was on my Sunday, and I could hear the cars (and for most of the preceding week with practice laps) and of course the fly pasts

That did occur to me just a moment ago LOL

I am watching on the SPEED network, they hardly ever replay anything other than Nascar...

At any rate, I haven't seen an F1 race on tv in years - really good fun.

So, pardon my incredulity, but you're in Florida on Spring Break watching television?

Please tell me you're at least surrounded by beautiful girls in bikinis.

Good evening Søren, I have a live recording of Hotel California on my iThings, need to get it in physical form!

For me it has been N.Radio via BeoPlayer. Listened to the Air Lounge and ACID jazz stations out of Europe. Good tunes for doing homework.
