Made a trip to the record shop today to get the Miike Snow album (bonus disc edition) only to find they didn't have it. I walked our with a David Byrne + Brian Eno disc. Its no Miike Snow but its not bad either.

The new Mike Snow single in the UK 'Paddling Out' is a fantastic tune. Reminds me of the old 1990's piano-based dance music!

Once in while I get sentimental, longing for the old country, living away from Denmark for more than 40 years, you would think it would disappear or get less with the years, but no, it happens a couple of times a year, the only cure is: Rum, a lot of ice, Coca Cola, Danish music, played on a Danish made music system

Good old Jazz with Papa Bue, Papa Bue's Viking Jazz Band is nearly as old as our Queen, after a cup or 3 and one hour of Jazz, the sentimental feeling disappears, and its time to move on

Really feels good now, and came to think of a new Record I bought some time ago, a remake I bought just to have it

And to conclude a late night it has to be her, newly acquired, used but as new

When I get my Beocord 5000 going I will have to make a sentimental Tape Laughing

I know what you mean ... a bit like you I have ended up as a citizen of the world but feel nostalgia for my teens, the places I lived, and the things we used to do ... which was drinking coke without the rum !

Soeren Mexico & Elephant,

Kind of off topic, but anyway.

That is actually what I am looking for. Currently have just managed to move from Germany to Bavaria - they still believe that they are some kind of independent - which is not really a great move. But my mom moved to the US one week ago. Thanks to our local BEO Dealer the BeoVision10 - first generation - will work in the US. I could not believe that it is not capable to be switched from 220v to 110v. Including the delay issue with digital and analogue delay issue I believe it was a pre-series version... Same to my BC6...

Well, anyway, I am still on my way checking options abroad, recently not moved to Zurich which is kind of not abroad from a German perspective. And yes I ll leave the BC6 behind, I guess.

Yes, their stuff is excellent! I am holding out for the Bonus CD version hard copy. It has a lot of great additional material.

If any of you haven't heard them yet, look into their first album. INCREDIBLE!

It always sounds weird when I talk about nostalgia and being sentimental, or at least to myself. I mean, when I 'go back in time' I only go back to high school, which was only 3 years ago! Crazy.

I know I've said it here before, but when I crank up the tunes (Third Eye Blind, Angels and Airwaves, and Incubus) and start rowing through the gears in my car I go straight back to those days. Its getting worse too, the weather is warming up and the windows are coming down. I can do it all day long...

Third Eye Blind's A Collection is spinning away right now.

Just built up to track four - Jumper. All 26 speakers jamming along brilliantly!

After seeing a sign advertising 3EB in concert on campus, I decided to spin up some tracks and see how badly I want to go back and see them for a second time. I see concert tickets and a good time in my future Cool

I have the same album on vinyl and I fixed your double post Stick out tongue

Nice compilation, but I don't like the way they cut the live version of "No Woman No Cry" short just when the beautiful guitar solo begins.

After a relaxed day and evening and a scenic drive home its time to unwind and listen to some tunes. Today I picked up a few used CD's and I'm settling into what I hope is a long night of listening.

Right now an old Radiohead album is spinning away. Hopefully this will clear my mind of the stressful week I have just finished.

The biggest surprise of the evening:

This album was just good enough to hold my attention and I was beginning to regret my purchase. Then the last track came on, Contra - a simple song with a direct message tied together with great musical value.

"Never pick sides,
Never choose between two,
I just wanted you,
I just wanted you."

Here is my main sort, now I have to decide if most played, mine, FS, A-Z, or woman Rock, just keep the main sorts, and most played first within the sorts. Not to see is a stavk of Rolling Stones, mine, and Rod Stewart, FS.

That is a lot of "not so good jazz" Laughing

I recognize the Mumford and Sons album there at the bottom of frame - next in queue?

Just gotta Beomaster 1200 that really needs a clean up. It works and I'll hope it still works after.

Need to know what record player belongs to the Beomaster 1200.

The big acrylic tuning slider became yellow and scratched so let's see how I can solve that. Other thing to do is finish my Beolab flatpanel acrylic cover that has been made (transparent). Will post pictures as soon as they're finished....

Btw, I like Maxwell a lot specially because of the heavy bassBig Smile
