Beozip: This is my last addiction
This is my last addiction
Cool, what scale is that? Looks quite detailed
it´s a slotcar 1:32
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Gk5uc-WzKY
Oh wow, I would have estimated it at 1:18 or 1:24!
A former colleague of mine is a member of a slot car club and as he retired he invited me and my other colleagues down to see it and have a little race against one another. Great fun!

The BEOTIME looks fantastic Dennis,congratulations.

After more than 2 years of searching,i finally found a SC80.2 in rosewood.
Henrik.
I love it.

Thank you Henrik! Glad you finally managed to find and bring a SC80.2 in rosewood home. Nice touch with the matching cooling fins behind the Beocord

Congrats, beautiful
Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.
Oh man! I am jealous. I have been looking almost as long for one.

Found one nearby but the bloke wanted € 500 for it. 😢
Jacques

Once again, prices are very different depending on countries: when people gives away Beovision Avant in the UK, people can ask up to 500€ here in France. Or 1000€ for an Ouverture, etc, etc… And a lot of crazy prices I can't remember just right now!

Here in the USA I haven't even found one. I have found SC80's, SC60's, MC40's and Attyca's but no SC80.2's.
Picked up a Beogram 4000 yesterday including a MMC4000. Should light up when connected to the mains, but haven't tested it yet. The pickup looks fine looking at it with the naked eye, but time will tell. Read through Sonavors BG 400x projects thread yesterday - great info and I had a quick look at the cartridge tab and am happy to report that it looks to be flawless.
Added a little piece of foam under the arms while transporting it. Pickup was taped to the side of the foam, but I could probably just have let it sit mounted on the arm. I didn't inspect the tap until I got home though, so better to be safe.
A design icon.

Very nice piece Dennis, that one didnt see much use
The turntable looks excellent but the dust cover appears to be a replacement from a Beogram 4002/4004 model. The original Beogram 4000 dust cover has more of a bronze tint to it. The later Beogram turntables used the smoky tint you have here. The Beogram 4000 dust cover also has printing on the left and right sides of the aluminum trim piece. That shouldn't affect the appreciation of this turntable but it is just something to note.
Maybe I'm wrong but I believe that the bronze smoked covers go on wood finish devices and grey smoked covers go on white finish devices. That was something I discovered and had to take care of when gathering my Beosystem 1200 (Beocord was wood so brown cover, Beogram was white so grey cover).
On all of the Beogram 4002/4004 turntables I have seen they all have the grey smoky tint. All of those turntables have either the rosewood finish or the teak finish. The Beogram 4000 turntables I have seen all had the bronze. In this case you can also tell by the metal band on the dust cover. The lettering does not look like the lettering I have seen on other Beogram 4000 units. Should someone want a modern replacement dust cover for a Beogram 4000 they may be able to get one from Frede Kristensen (Classic Audio).
Wow, well spotted guys.
I had noticed, that the model number was missing on the left side, but not investigated further. Maybe it was one of the last ones made before the 4002? Like you probably know, they made quite a few changes during production of the 4000-series. Serial number is 185439.
Thank you for the info on the replacement dust covers. I think I can live with the missing lettering and different color though - a new dust cover and metal band would cost almost 5 times what I paid for the Beogram.
Yes, enjoying the Beogram 4000 does not require the original dust cover for sure :-). If you bought it to enjoy the turntable for what it is (a great machine for playing vinyl) then I think you bought it for the right reasons. How does its cartridge mounting connector look on the tonearm? Those a very susceptible to breaking so be gentle with it.
Very nice BG4000 - I have one as well, waiting for some minor repairs.
I bought a small box of parts from eBay:
What's so special in here you ask? Well, at the bottom there is an MCL2AV (came without the top cover), I already have two, but why not have one more :) The brick on the top is the 15V transformer for it (anyone else think the cable leaves from the wrong side?)
But the two items in the middle are the interesting bits:
This is the original transformer for the Beolink 7000 floor stand AND the LCS7000 IR transceiver/BL7000 wall charger. Which is the round IR puck in the picture! Mounting the BL7000 on wall sounds a bit risky, though...
The previous owner had used ethernet CAT5e cable for the transceiver/charger, I'll be replacing that first.
Nice piece of kit, Lausvi. Quite rare I believe!
Don't think it is more risky having it mounted on the wall than having it on a floor stand, as they can be knocked over; don't ask me how I know...
Just make sure to mount it at a height where children and dogs (and I) can't reach it.
Just came home from DK could bring a BM 1000, it has been stored by my youngest son for some 3 years since I bought it. Connected it to CX 100s, changed voltage to 130V, turned it on, all lights on, volume OK, bass a little hard, tuned different stations OK, connected an antenna, more stations. Its one of few I have that worked right out of the box
Yesterday i was out picking up this beogram 1500 and beovox 2200 speakers.
It is oak and very close to mint.
When i told the lady who sold it,that i collecting b&o she asked if i was interested in a transistor radio.I couldn`t say no.
It was very dirty but after cleaning it was almost like new i got batteries in it and it works 100%
Nice find Henrik, is the BG working, I have 1 or 2 good working SP14 if needed
Hi Søren.
I haven't tested it yet, the seller told me that it needed a new belt, the pick-up looks fine.
And thanks for last time, i hope we can spend more time together next time you are in Denmark 😊
Today i got this remote
but as you can see, it is not like my other remote controls
i asked Martin (DILLEN) if he`s seen one before, and he hasn`t.
Has anyone here seen this before?
I got this nice and rare speaker. Anybody with information from which year it is? Maybe even a pic from product catalog?
Which radio (or record player) was made for?
Vintage Bang & Olufsen
Yesterday i bought my self an early Christmas present for my self.
And a few months ago i had the opportunity to buy a set of beovox 5000 with cubes at a very good price, but i didn`t think i had space for them,si i called a very good friend and asked if he was interested ,he called the seller and was told that there was also a record player for 500dkr (67 euro),and guess what record player it was,a BEOGRAM 3000
Why was i so stupid that i didn`t call the seller.
The Ekstra Højttaler (Extra speaker) is a nice find,It's in the same bakelite cabinet design as the Beolit 48 radio, so a fair guess would be late 1947 - early 1948.I don't think it was made for a specific model, but rather a general option.
That's one more nice find there, Henrik!Looks very clean overall.
Martin
I have found this table and it is not a table for a tv,it is an original b&o table for a beogram 1500 and some reel to reel beocords
Lovely - it's the original accessories that can sometimes make all the difference! p.s. loving the white 6000 system in the background
Hi MrRoast.
I also love these quadro bm 6000,besides the white i also have one in teak and one in palisander and then i bought one in light oak, which i have to pick up sometime in january.
Finding beogram 6000 and beocord 5000 in light oak and teak will probably be very difficult
Oh, so you bought the Beomaster 6000 4 Channel in oak, Henrik! Congratulations!
It looked to be in very good condition judging by the photos and with the cool detail that it comes with two remotes and even two different versions! One 'Beomaster 6000 Commander' and one 'Beomaster 6000 Control Module'. Good buy!
I think it might be a one-off or at least produced in very limited numbers. I bought my red labelled M100s from the same seller about a year ago. Very nice guy that knows quite a lot about the Beogram 4000-series. He inherited the speakers from a family member that used to work at Bang & Olufsen as development manager and participated in the development of the uni-phase series.
Very nice find Henrik
I like this stand very and even more the Beogram 1500. It is one of my favourite record player. Nothing special soundwise but I like its design. Congratilations!
