LG TV line for March / April, these things get HOT. We write about LG 4K TVs 2019 lineups - HDMI 2.1 - eARC system, - Audio accessories - WiSA. If you have news now, write. Thanks.
Beolab 50, Beolab 8000 x 2, Beolab 4000 x 2, BeoSound Core, BeoSound 9000, BeoSound Century, BeoLit 15, BeoPlay A1, BeoPlay P2, BeoPlay H9 3rd Gen, BeoPlay H6, EarSet 3i, BeoVision Eclipse Gen 2 55", BeoPlay V1-40, BeoCom 6000 and so much else :)
I would not say most stuff is there,
I would say one thing closer
But it is very good, and I do think that it could drive Beolab sales up.
Imo I would still miss a lot of functions...
Beovision Harmony 77" 2nd Gen, Beolab 5, Beolab 17, Beosound 1, Beoplay M3, Beoplay Portal, Beoplay Earset, Beoliving Intelligence

Indeed a very good thing :)
Why just one thread, when we can have two....about this 🤥

There is a tv - and there is a BV
If so, I’ll copy my post from there - which very much gives my take on this:
’This was expected, after the announcement of the WiSA Ready solution in september:
https://www.dealerscope.com/article/new-wisa-ready-certification-launches-alongside-first-certified-product/
A pre-model was tested a couple of years ago in Struer (with some LG/2016 models).
I would not say that it is bad news - however, you MUST to go wireless.....maybe B&O should start producing extra Receiver 1’s 😉
And you won’t benefit from the B&O audio solutions/engine, the integration of NL and the controlling with a BeoRemote One......
They claim support for Atmos/DTS-X.
With 8 channels I don’t see much support for overhead channels - it might be sufficient for a lot of users, though.
We will be wiser (= wisa) after CES 2019.
MM.’
Michael: I also think this will make wisa speakers more frequent, which is a good thing too.
WiSA speakers, maybe - but do you really think, that the average LG buyer will get 2 or more -pretty expensive - BeoLabs?
I don’t!
HDMI 2.1 / eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) on LG 2019 OLED solves many known issues in the future. We can hope for it too.-
Michael:Really interesting and great. Built in support for 5.1 and more. No real need then perhaps for a Beocenter, even though I would prefer having the correct profile for each speaker type. Now only puc is missing. Then most of the stuff is there.

I am really amazed how the longtime effords, research and experimenting of the Audio Department in Struer (key words: Technical Sound Guide, TrueImage™ algorithm, Geoff Martin - read his blog.....) is neglected.
Maybe that is/was all in vain, when even B&O users can get along with much less.
I am still be be convinced that a ‘surround solution’ in an LG-tv can come nowhere near a B&O sound solution as used in the BSys4 platform-based products.

I bought my Beolab 20 2 years before buying a Beovision,
A lot more people think the price of a beovision is insane than Beolabs.
Imo Beolab is much more value for the money, as they do not turn obsolete the same way.

I am not talking about BeoVisions - after all we know, there will be no more of these.
Don’t try to convince me of ‘the value for money’ of the WiSA-BeoLabs - try to convince an LG OLED buyer.

Why would you need eARC in that case - the sound comes direct from the tv using the connected WiSA dongle as transmitter.
There is no receiver/prepro ,that would need eARC, involved there.
@ Millemissen you have one of the last = BeoVision Avant 2014 from B & O.
Today, a TV from Bang & Olufsen is a LG 2017 OLED TV, and probably the last one we've seen.So you can wish the past to bake, as much as you want. a BeoVision TV is an LG tv.

I am pretty sure, that those who know and those who actually own a BeoVision Eclipse won’t agree with you.
If you only had the slightest experience, hands on of an Eclipse, I could take your statement seriously.
No, it is not a BV7 for sure - I know....
.....and thank god for that!
From Marts 2018 Read here.
Millemissen - Read it all. . Now we soon writing 2019 = Time to implement HDMI 2.1 and eARC.
I like this, I miss my beolabs. I had a pair of beolab 17 and a 19 sub. The Beovision Horizon was however horrible and after endless troubles I sold it and all my B&O. I will never ever buy another Beovision but an LG oled at LG prices with Beolabs could be nice.

Why/for what will you need that, when using a WiSA Ready/transmitter dongle ssolution for the sound?
That dongle is connected via USB, not HDMI.
Do not be afraid of the way Millemissen to write on.Millemissen has a lot of experience with B & O, but is not much for that to realize the need to learn something about the new times. Time does not stand still.
So, why - why do you need eARC in that case?
Please tell us!
Read about the sound quality.
Peter Pan: Read about the sound quality.
I give up 😂
Loss-free audio (Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD MA). Correction of "lip sync", ie sync between picture and sound, From ARC, Bandwidth expands from approx. 2-3Mb / s in ARC to 37 Mb / s in eARC. In other words, 7.1 surround and lossless HD audio can be transmitted.
My definitely last try...
You are talking HDMI,
The WiSA dongle, that is used for the wireless connection to the speakers, is USB - so not relevant here.
(Save your HDMI 2.1/eARC hype for another thread - maybe one about a coming HDMI-connected Sound Center/Soundbar from B&O).

Michael:[ When even B&O users can get along with much less: I’d say those are looking for a way forward since B&O has so obviously cut down on the TV area. Fired the developers years ago now and the TV in tandem with LG seems to be the last one according to dealers around the globe. What options are there?

I am not talking ‘video’ here....but ‘audio’.
I don’t believe that the WiSA dongle hype can be the solution.
Let’s wait and see, if there will be a Sound Center/soundbar solution from B&O in the making.

Read the two links above.
By 2019, LG will send all nine TV versioner on the market with built-in WiSA. TV also has built-in decoding for Dolby ATMOS and DTS X. It will be products like their OLED TV and flagship models within LCD TV.
We saw this in the beginning of 2018
