Hello all,
I have been experimenting with a Beocreate 4C and an old pair of CX50s I have. The 4C is a great idea since it can play almost anything (roon, spotify, dlna, bluetooth, airplay, radio). Furthermore it can execute commands send via http. I have been playing around with this capability since today morning and I have to admit I am very happy with it. I have created macros for play/pause, next/previous track, mute/unmute, volume up/down. It could be said that it is almost integrated to my bli system. By almost I mean that the system doesn't "see" it as an A/V renderer (I tried to trick it but with no success) and as a result there are no sources. On the 4C side there is no command to start a source and as a result starting a source has to be done by your phone/tablet, etc.
Is there any way to make the bli "see" the 4c as an a/v renderer? And in case it can is it in your plans to make it happen?
Thanks a lot
Tassos
Hi Iwan. Are there any plans to integrate Ikea directly into BLI?Would be so ingenious if curtains could be integrated directly
Thanks for at great produkt
Christian
Ikea?
Can you post a link to the curtains?
Would be good if its possible in Essential mode :)

I've Somfy RTS Venetian blinds that I've linked up to my homeseer server via an RXCOM RFXtrx433E device, it works brilliantly for automations that open and closes them on sunrise, sunset, leaving home etc, but it would be nice to somehow manually control them in beoliving too but I don't think that'll be possible without some sort of custom driver in the BLGW.
Khimo Support: we are currently focused on a revamp of the app, it's coming out any day now! Can't wait to hear what you think about it :)
The revamped app on the iphone looks great @Khimo! Very polished and I like the new fonts. The double Source icon at the bottom left appears to be fixed tool which is great.
I'm wondering, is it possible for the app to remember what source is playing on a masterlink device? For example if I start Radio on my Bedroom beolab 3500 through the beoliving app, put the iPhone into standby, then wake the phone, the 'Select a source to start listening' shows as though nothing is playing in the bedroom? I'm using the BLGW.
Many thanks!
I had Beoliving 2.0.0. (120) installed from the testflight and reported bugs via testflight feedback - no response.
Now I installed V. 2.0.0. from the appstore (official version I think) - same bugs are still there!
1- buttons with led in compact mode with overlapping text on the led (and now even worse: whole text (buttons?) are shifted to the right, so the right buttons are partly out of sight.
2- When starting the app, it firdt shows the message "This project has no resources" for 1-2 seconds
3- still no status function on shade buttons with state (KNX), as promised some time ago (tip: just redo the light button with state as a slider and a bit different design - maybe a horisontal slider with X% showing, that can be set to SHADE section (works already with light buttons in the LIGHTS section..)

Griebel:Yes, it looked great before I updated to iOS 14. Now all the room pictures are gone!
Hi Griebel,
Can you try to upgrade your BLI to 2.2.0.125?
Thank you for reporting!
Best,
the Khimo team.-

Hi Stefan,
Sorry for not answering your feedback on TestFlight , we are working on a solution to the compact button (1).
Regarding 2, is this something that was happening before? Did you enable the app to access your location? We use location to speed up the connection.
Regarding 3, sorry, it is still in the backlog.
Thanks,

Now you were quick :) very quick:))
I have beta 2.0.1. installed and problem 1 and 2 solved!
To answer your question regarding '2' Yes, it happened in the prevoius version, too - and, yes, location access is (and was) enabled for Beoliving app.
For No.3: maybe my solution is worth thinking about - I have it already tested - works, but only in the LIGHTS section unfortunately...)
Thank you!

Khimo Support: As we cannot access the state of the MasterLink product, we prefer to let the user define what the product is playing, than showing old information that might not be correct and cause confusion.
Thanks for the explanation, am I correct in thinking the old MLGW can receive status updates from the players? If so would having the MLGW and the associated driver push ML status updates to the app?
Thanks for letting me know about the Somfy driver too, will this work on the BLGW?
Are there any plans to integrate with NodeRed? This would really open the door for third party integration.

The ML protocol driver enables sending commands, but not receiving source information. It is not part of the communications protocol and because of this, we cannot implement this functionality :(

Is there a realistic chance that BeoLiving will support Apple Homekit in the upcoming future?

We will release Siri integration soon, all the Beoliving scenes will be available to Siri using apple shortcuts and you will be able to create shortcut automation too.
Hi Khimo
I'm using the integration for LK IHC in my system. LK recently released a new dimmer, which i guess will replace previous versions. This functions in the same way as previous dimmers, but is not automatically imported to the BLGW. I can find the ID of the dimmer manually, but the BLGW will not let me add it, as it can not recognize the ID. Is there any chance you would look into this? As all lights in my house are controlled by these, this is a rather large setback,

Thank you very much sharing your next steps regarding the integration into the Apple ecosystem with Siri integration. Sounds very promising. :)But it sounds like half a step to me. When you are heading towards the Apple ecosystem, why not a full integration into Apple HomeKit? :(
We expect Siri Integration to be live at some point during december.
@Munchen, what would you like to obtain from "full integration" into HomeKit?

On the subject of LK, we are aware of the new dimmers, and LK is sending us the new hardware so we can develop integration with these devices. We will let you know as soon as there is news on this front!

That great to hear. It is good that you maintain the integrations which are important to many users. While you are looking at the LK IHC integration, it would be nice to know why temperature control is not supported. I guess there must be a good reason, since it is an important part of the BeoLiving as well as IHC.

I was wondering if it is possible to trigger a macro from the widget screen of an iphone/ipad. I am asking cause I think it will be very convenient for macros that are used often. For example my garage door is connected to the BLI and in order to open/close it I need to unlock my iphone/ipad start the application go to scenes and press trigger the macro. Furthermore I have to do the same thing to open the main door of my house when someone is ringing the bell and I do not have a beoremote close by.
Hi Tassos,
You can via the new iOS Shortcuts (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jn2jql_Z_uo)!
Yes indeed! Shortcuts ( https://khimo.github.io/bli-guides/how-tos/howto-siri-shortcuts ) can be added as a widget, and this will be even easier as soon as the Siri integration we mentioned a couple of days ago comes out :)
Thanks for the answers 1990 and khimo support will try it asap!!!!
Hello again,
a quick question, how can you trigger the action via the shortcut when you are remotely connected?
I think you can control it remotely if you have a HomeKit hub (Apple TV or dedicated iPad).
@Khimo: now the Contour has been released is there any chance we’ll get the Home Control screen on the Stage/Contour?
Khimo Support:@Munchen, what would you like to obtain from "full integration" into HomeKit?
I would like to integrate my B&O equipment into my HomeKit automations. E.g. leaving the house. Apple homekit would not only turn off all lights and reduce the temperature additional I would love to trigger that all B&O systems turn off.
All Smart Home devices I use are supporting Apple Homekit, but not all are supported by Beoliving like Netatmo, eve or tado.
Can you help with a picture of a BLI macro, where you use the Openweather API ?
And is it possible to show the current outdoor temperature on the Webpanel, instead of the dummy temperature??
Thank you for a great product, and your part in this forum.
Tassos: how can you trigger the action via the shortcut when you are remotely connected?
how can you trigger the action via the shortcut when you are remotely connected?
Yes, you could probably get it working via a HomeKit Hub, but in our next update you will be able to easily (one-step) add the BLI's scenes to Shortcuts and activate them remotely through Khimo (PRO BLI or BLGW).
1990: @Khimo: now the Contour has been released is there any chance we’ll get the Home Control screen on the Stage/Contour?
We can (very happily) confirm that the Home Control screen will be available on both the Stage and the Contour in their next software update!

You could do this by adding a Shortcut to your HomeKit automation scheme that turned off all your B&O equipment :)
CTR84: Can you help with a picture of a BLI macro, where you use the Openweather API ? And is it possible to show the current outdoor temperature on the Webpanel, instead of the dummy temperature??
Hi CTR84,
It is not possible to show the temperature on the webpanel, I'm not really sure what you mean by dummy temperature...
Also not sure what you would like to see about the OpenWeather driver in use. It is normally used as trigger for Macros, you can see all the parameters in the documentation.
You could also use the information it provides as a conditional with lua macros. E.g. check if it is raining and condition some action in your macro on this:
current = engine.query("Main/global/_CURRENT_WEATHER/current_weather") if current[1].get("_Rain") == "true" then
Do something
end
Hi Khimo.
Thank you for a very fart reply.

Hi Again CTR,
It is not possible to configure the temperature of a dummy thermostat.
They are not meant for this purpose, and a thermostat's temperature is never changeable as it should reflect the measured temperature.
