B&O is a worldwide 'luxury' brand, with a premium price point, expensive dealers to maintain and, more important, dealers who expect a certain amount of revenue from a TV sale.
That's why that premium is in place. One thing I do agree that it's a shame the Stage has never been updated to support WISA or connecting to other B&O speakers - seems like a missed opportunity for me. A lack of PUC support means no Sky Q control.
However, once you start adding these, the Stage would move up a level or two and become closer to a £2000 soundbar.
I guess what B&O could have done is release a Stage and a Stage+, where the Stage+ has a higher price point, but same design, just more functionality for existing users and those wanting to connect to their other speakers.

I agree with everything here. If the stage included the above I would be more than happy to pay £2-3K+ for a stage+.
steve1977:1) Can i play music via airplay 2 or NL without turning the tv on?2) Is the beoremote natively supported? Both or only the BT version?3) Does it support cec or do i need a puc to control my apple tv?4) Can i “hide” the apple tv inside the contour? i think this was possible with one of the previous ones?

Wat is CEC?
I only use apple TV for Netflix streaming, but that is possible in the native LG webOS, so no more need for AppleTV for me.
Does anybody know if the software of the Contour has some B&O layer or would you only see native LG software, menus and logo's?

My dealer told me there is a B&O logo and menu. He might be not yet up to date with contour. Is there difference between Exclipse and Contour on how native B&O app / menu is stored on to the LG TV?
I saw the Contour yesterday at B&O Harrods.
Looks decent enough. Not sure of the silver finish though. Really needs the darker frame.
But, looks solid and seamless. No-one outside this board would know it's a CX + Stage.

Others may know for certain but since this is a Stage and an LG screen, the integration in terms of menus should be minimal (if any) comparing to Eclipse.
Horrible picture refelctions in the sliver version I saw- the frame is quite deep
steve1977:I’m very seriously considering to pull the trigger. Not sure i can handle an LG logo at this price point. It would make me feel every time i watch tv that i overpaid ;) Can anyone confirm whether a LG logo is visible when turning on / off the television and in the web os? Consensus seems the smoked oak version looking best? Anyone has experience with b&o wall mounts? So i need to use the “moving” one or can i just simply put it against the wall with a mount without any movements being possible?

steve1977:Also, i can live without a b&o as long as it doesn’t start with an LG logo and doesn’t display the LG logo in the UI.
steve1977:Sounds good! I wouldn’t mind to adjust through the app. Also, i can live without a b&o as long as it doesn’t start with an LG logo and doesn’t display the LG logo in the UI. I’m getting closer to the purchase ;)
Cant say on the Contour, but I have the new Eclipse ver. 2, and there is no logo at all when starting up. No B&O, no LG.
- duplicate -
Hiort:But it does show LG logos, right?
The TV is an LG, it comes in a LG box. It is exactly the same TV you buy in Currys/Walmart (select your own budget Electrical retailer) - why would it start up with a B&O Logo?
Ban boring signatures!

It's literally an LG CX in a frame with a Stage. Nothing more, nothing less. No integration at all. No different from my LG GX + Stage combination!
Also, you don't get obvious LG logos or similar even on the CX/GX. It's fairly subtle.
However, like I said earlier in the discussion, 95% of people outside of this board would never know it isn't a B&O TV. It really does look seamless. The design is fairly impressive considering it's 3 separate components combined together. It's hard to know it's using the Stage. Just looks like a TV speaker. You don't see the Stage frame at all.
agree, had the chance to see the set at my dealer the other day. Really nice looking kit!
3 separate components? Does that mean 3 mains leads? Not really all in one system then! 😁
I am sure at least the aluminium frame/stand won’t need a mains lead 😉

There is a tv - and there is a BV
Has any forum members purchased a Contour?
Would be nice with some first hand experience.
I’ve ordered one. Said it would be delivered 2021-01-27. Will report back. As for wisa drop. Wisa is lousy in my opinion. I’ve had a transmitter con be yes to my tv with a pair of beolab 20s and it’s been more headaches than bliss. If you want surround it’s probably possible to buy a beolab reviver , and hook that up to the 3,5 mm port on the stage and then buy and a wisa soundsend or a transmitterr 1 that you hook up to the tv. However. I’m guessing airplay 2 and or chrome cast will come with it’s own surround some time soon.

I hadn't thought about that option with the Transmitter 1, not a bad idea. I'm also guessing they will come out with the option of chromecasting from a TV to speakers (the other way around) eventually. Prob why WISA has come out with the SoundSend.
Congrats on the Contour, not too long to go for the delivery and install. 🙌

Hi how does anyone who has purchased one find it?
I am about to order one in silver with a wooden frame but most likely attach to a 6-26 stand with a specific STB adapter.
I have no issues re the lack of functionality; the sound is more than sufficient for my needs and I love the retro design. Incidentally my Dealer advises that the panel is covered for 5 yrs by LG
I have mine at the Office. It looks good but I don’t like the LG user interface and I think the Beo remote even though it’s fantastic to hold/looks great has a lot to ask for when it comes to features and modern functionality.
When buying this product, you are buying an LG tv and a good sound system witch is 40-50% of the price. Then the rest of it is the framing of the tv. I think the framing is worth the prize if that’s what you want. But remember that it is the framing you are paying top dollar for. Choosing between this and a pre owned beovision 11 or 10 46” I’d have bought the old tv any day now that I have it.
I have bought a Contour and I am super happy with it. I have the Gold/Oak version👍🏼The image and sound is amazing, and I managed to place the Apple TV in the «hole» on the back of the speaker. I have it on the wall with all cables hidden. When I turn on the tv, it goes directly to Apple TV, so I never need to see the LG UI.
My only negative feedbacks is;
- the standbylight (can be turned off, but blinks on startup) is a blurry dot. Not a sharp dot or line.
- It didnt come with a user manual
- When you try to change color on the product in the B & O app, it turns up as Beosound Stage
