- When you try to change color on the product in the B & O app, it turns up as Beosound Stage

/Robert

That is a known issue - it will surely be corrected at some point.

I’d get a 55 version for my bedroom too, in theory.

There won't be a 55" version (that's the Eclipse) as it's using the Stage technology, which just happens to be the same width as the 48".

ie. a 55" would require a brand new speaker, which makes the entire project custom and not using existing components. Not going to happen.

There is a 55" version on the way. In the new pricelist on side 10/11 can you read this ...

...which also appears to delete the Anthracite model in 48", now only listed under 55".  Hope that's a mistake -- who really wants to see the reflection of their screen in that concave frame profile?  Yet another thoughtful feature of the BeoVision 10 & 11 that has been designo-ed away.  (Oh.  Yeah.  The gold-tone model is also listed only in 55" now, if anybody cares.)

The reflection in the frame is no problem at all, not at the gold version I have. Its more like a subtile nice touch. And if you ask me  - the Gold-tone looks amazing in the right interior.

I have problems uploading images on the forum, but the B&O store in Bergen, Norway posted my Contour on their Instagram - check it out:

Thanks!

And the Apple TV is placed on the backside, inside the "hole" at the back on the Stage.

I guess they have waited to see how the 48” version was received.

It seems that it indeed is very well received - any dealer I talk to, says that they are selling quite well.

I guess it will be the same with the 55” version.....a lot of the costumers are happy with an all-in-one solution.

A lot of the old BV10/BV7 costumer, who got rid of their tv and did not want to invest (or need) an Eclipse/Harmony are returning to the brand.

The part number for the stage is the same so there probably won’t be a bigger version.

Does anyone have this May 2021 price list for the US/in $USD?

55” Contour could be great for someone looking for an all-in-one solution with no need for surround sound. But I assume the Stage will not grow in size so I’m curious to see how they integrate the Stage into a larger framed TV.

Currently: BeoLab 17, BeoLab 18, BeoSound Core, Beosound Level, Beosound A1 2nd Gen, BeoPlay S8 Connection Hub, Halo, Essence Remote

Previously: BeoSound 1 non-GVA

The link is to a price list in EUR. If anyone has it in USD, I’d love to see it.

Also looking forward to photos of the Contour 55. Very curious how they integrate the relatively smaller Stsge into it.

Does anyone know if you can share audio from the Contour with other speakers using BeoLink Multiroom?

Audio from the inbuilt music sources are shareable. Sound from the tv/video/hdmi can’t be distributed.

I wonder if they will use the existing 'stage for contour' version but make the speaker cloth just larger? After all it's only 7 inches difference, 3.5 either side, and the stage is already made for 55-65 or whatever size TVs.

Just a thought.

I am pretty sure they are the same (with a wider front/cloth).

The price is exactly the same.

And why should they create something new, when they already have that and also sell it for different sizes of the LG tv’s.....would be way too cost intensive.

Is this exactly the same as the 48” and locked in with no power links ? Or could you use wisa to connect to additional b&o speakers ?

What are your thoughts about using wisa to connect to bl28 and killing the stage ? As the eclipse is far too expensive

The Stage doesn't have WISA.

The Contour is a standalone  TV by design.

No Wisa included in the Contour.

You could buy a USB wisa ? And kill the stage inside the contour ?

You would be best of to use a center speaker, hence the stage in the contour. As said it is a stand alone tv. If you want to add L/R channels you need a proper Beovision Eclipse / Harmony. Eclipse 55” 1st gen second life is your best friend then. Same price level of new Contour. The C7 LG panel on it is still amazing panel

My question remains whether mozart will eventually allow a surround setup without wisa.

As of now, mozart allows stereo pairs, but there is more anticipated.

A “state mk2” may be based on mozart. And mozart may allow the stage to be paired with other mozart speakers into a surround setup (incl bl28).

But there is a lot of speculation in this message…

Long time ago I was quite active here in the forum. My priorities and time possibilities changed, so I didn’t change my setup or tried something new. Now, it’s time to change my TV and the Contour would fit perfectly. Now, the Berlin B&O stores offers the Contour for a good price. It would be possible to receive the great looking devices in separate parts (panel, chassis, stage, etc.). However, neither there is no real instruction manual for it nor I could find something useful on the internet. Therefore, I wonder if it is worth to assembly all the stuff by myself or should this be done by a B&O expert. What’s your opinion?

I did the assembly myself. Extremely easy in terms of Assembly. But might be good to ask a friend for help since it weighs quite a bit. That said I did everything myself. Its no more difficult than building anything from ikea.

Welcome back here.

Sure - it should not be the biggest problem to do that assemply by yourself.

However, if you are not familiar with how the new B&O products work (in terms of streaming, multiroom/AirPla etc etc), it might be wise to let the dealer/an installer do the job.

This way you can be sure, that it works as intended.

If you like challenges a bit, do it yourself - but be sure to do it at a time of day, where you can reach your dealer….just in case.

Have fun with your new B&O tv - which one did you get, the 48” or the 55”?

Many Thanks for the given information MM. I like challenges so I would take the plunge. As we come from a Beovision 8-26 a 48'' is more than enogh for us ;-).
